Matthew for Model Number WR30X10093

Trying to trouble shoot this icemaker. No water to icemaker and cannot figure out how to cycle the icemaker. Things I have checked: Valve is good, checked by applying direct 120 power to the valve and it releases water. Weird cause there is no water in the line at all. Leads me to believe that what ever triggers the valve is not working. Added about 4 oz of water to the cube maker. Ice froze but did not release and drop. Ice cubes are still there after a complete day. Pulled the power plug out of the motor section and tested for power to the icemaker. 120 power is present on a few pins. didn't check all of them. Motor portion works great. I'm guessing that the thermostat may be bad? No heating or power to the icemaker? How can I tell if its powered on besides the on off slider? How can I force a cycle? Any help would be appreciated.

Matthew, This issue would be caused by a faulty icemaker. Unfortunately there is no way to force this icemaker into a cycle.

Jck for Model Number GE PROFILE SERIES Side by Side Ref/Freezer #TPX24BRBA BB SN#MT239673

I have a ge #wr30x0328, model can10 ice maker in my freezer. I've had a problem with ice building up around the bottom of the fill cup and into the ice bin. I replaced the water filter a few weeks ago and ice was building up all around the ice tray until the stripper was broken. I've replaced the water valve but i'm still getting ice build up. I've looked at replacing the ice maker but the original model is no longer available. I'm looking at the replacement you are selling and ge recommends. My concern is the location of the water inlet to the fill cup. My current ice maker mounts on a panel parallel to the back of the freezer and the water enters the fill cup perpendicular to the ice maker on the far right sde of the ice maker. The image, and installation instructions for the replacement ice maker (#wr30x10093) indicates the water fill is in the middle of the ice maker or parallel on the right end. I hope you see my delema. Do you provide a fill cup with the water entering prependicular to the right end of the ice maker? Thank you

1 Answer

JCK, This icemaker WR30X10093 will fill at the right side when set in perpendicular but you have to notch a cutout in the fill cup and then block off the hole at the end of the cup to keep water from spilling out.

Vicky for Model Number Hotpoint CSX226GRBKAA

We ordered ice maker WR30X10093, order # 7415899. Water was collecting under auger in ice bin preventing auger from turning. (We assumed the ice maker was leaking, thus ordered the new one.) After several attempts to install (we had to use the adapter plug which made it much more difficult than your video) we finally were ready to test it. We also adjusted the small wheel toward the minus sign. After hearing ice being dumped into the bin we opened the freezer door and noticed water dripping and freezing on left side of freezer wall and assumed it was splashing out of the round hole on the side of the new fill cup. We took the ice maker out again and covered the hole with metal tape as suggested in another post. Reinstalled ice maker and still have water freezing on the side wall. Please advise.

Vicky, Check to see that the refrigerator level and then check the ice maker is level in both directions. Then recheck the fill time in a test mode, it should take 5 or 6 seconds to fill the heater mold properly, and check the fill spout and funnel to make sure the water isn't splashing or migrating from the funnel or spout.

Ken, This issue would be most likely be caused by a issue with the crush/cube solenoid that is located by the auger motor. The solenoid arm may be stuck in the up position or the arm may be damaged and will need to be corrected or replaced.

Hello Jay. The icemaker should work fine in the unit according to the manufacturer. You will need to make sure you installed ti properly and make sure the bucket is not hitting the cord of the new icemaker since it is longer than the old one.

Nathan, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a water pressure issue. You will want to check the water on the door to make sure that it is not flowing slower. If it is then the filter may need to be replaced. If it is not then it would most likely be that the water inlet valve is not fully opening on the ice side and creating this issue.

Ron for Model Number CSCP5UGXSS

My electronic ice maker (WR30X10044) stopped making ice. I just noticed that the green light is no longer glowing. I unplugged and removed all of the ice maker parts, including the ice dispenser along with the maker itself. I verified 120V from the outlet on the back of the inside of the freezer as well as the relay plug from the dispenser. I allowed all parts to thaw and then replaced them back into the freezer. Still no green light, but when switched on the ice maker makes a sound like it is at least trying to work. No water flowed into the molds, however, and the diagnostic reset (push paddle three times) did not activate. Assuming a new ice maker is in order, or could it be something else...?

1 Answer

Ron, Based on your post information and description " diagnostic reset (push paddle three times) did not activate." The ice maker assembly will need to be replaced. When the reset procedure is performed, the icemaker should have advanced through a ice making cycle and would indicate what component has failed. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks,

Hello Irvin, Since the unit is not cycling, it sounds like the icemaker is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.
