Glenn September 01, 2011 for Model Number GHDA960K03WW After a power surge caused by a faulty my dishwasher is dead, no lights nothing any help on what can be replaced?
1 Answer Hi Glen. You need to remove power. Then remove the toe kick panel. Then remove the elect. junction box and use a volt meter to check for 120vac at the supply wire from the breaker. Insure there are tight wire connections and nothing open or shorted. Then the power goes to the door switches. The door micro switches are part # WD21X10169. You will need 2-of them. If when you shut the door you have 120vac supplied to the control module you will need to inspect the module for damage (if you can see any ) this part # is WD21X10215. Good luck. Thank you. Tony August 31, 2011 for Model Number PDW8280J03SS Dishwasher went dead during a wash cycle: no lights, nothing. It has power, all wires are secure inside the front door and under the dishwasher, both relay switches in the door switch unit check good. The circuit board's transformer has no power leaving the DC side (or is that normal?). Could it be the circuit board (module control) or the front panel? - Tony
1 Answer Hello Tony. Test and see if there is power coming to the control module WD21X10215. If so, and the controls doe not work, you will need to replace the module. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
