Michael September 14, 2016 for Model Number WBVH5300K0WW Which motor number crosses to a Hanning Electro-Werke DP040-018 FZ98 from a GE HE Front Load Washer Model WBVH5300K0WW Drain Pump?
1 Answer Hello Shane. There is no check valve listed for this model. If the water is coming back into the tub, the drain hose is to far into the stand pipe causing siphoning. Read More...

Jeff July 03, 2016 for Model Number GTWN3000Mws ge washer wont drain. pump is running. hoses are not stopped up. can drain tub if I lower the discharge hose below the tub and into a bucket (gravity). it will pump sometimes. I took it out and the impeller spins freely and I can see the pump work when I plug it in. maybe its getting hot and locking up but I can feel it and hear it trying to pump.
1 Answer Jeff, You're probably on target, the motor windings could be getting hot and the motor will "stall" and not drain the tub. But it's more likely the impeller is loose on the motor shaft and won't drain the tub when "under a load". Replace the pump and all should be fine. Read More...
Hermann April 30, 2016 for Model Number VBXR1060T2WB It goes through the first cycle OK (fill/agitate/drain/spin) than it starts the rinse cycle fills/agitates and than starts to drain but only very little and after a few seconds nothings else is happing except for a humming noise.
1 Answer Herman, You will want to check the unit's drain pump to make sure that the impeller is good and check to make sure that there are no clogs in the system. Read More...
Ryan February 07, 2016 for Model Number E waching machine We have a ge washing machine. I cant find what model it is. It seems like it drains and soins fine but at the end of the spin cycle water immediately flows up from the bottom and the clothes come out dripping wet. I check the hose for cloggs and it seemed fine. Im trying to get the spin tub To see if anything is jammed underneath it having a hard time with the nut. Just wondering if the pump isnt getting all the water out or if its something else. The hose drains into the wash basin and is about three feet above the ground. I read its supposed to be between 39 and 96 inches. Thanks for the help
1 Answer Ryan, Yes the washbasin height could be an issue in which water is back flowing into the unit. You will want to check the drain pump to ensure that there is no damage to the impeller and there should be a flap on the drain pump, possibly, that may have fallen off that could cause this issue. Phil September 28, 2015 for Model Number WPRE6100G0WT The wire connectors at the pump are bad, there are signs of arcing on the hot-side connector. At random this doesn't allow the pump to start as needed, so the tub spins when it's full and basically upchucks the water over the drum sides, flooding everything. Are there use-specific connectors for the pump, or will standard automotive type connectors be acceptable? Thanks, Phil
Jim August 26, 2015 Top loader GE washer, won't drain. Lid swich is working. Power to the pump is not getting 120 volts. Pulled pump ran 120 volts to pump it works okay. What would make the power eratic going to the pump? Goes through all cycles except drain timmer keeps moving.
1 Answer Hello Jim. You will need to replace the control on the washer if the wiring harness is good. Read More...
Kate May 13, 2015 for Model Number GTWN4950LOWS The tub fills with water and goes thru the washing cycle, but the water won't drain. I check the hose to make sure it was not stopped up; it was clear. I think I need the pump...please respond. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Kate. Test for power to the drain pump. If there is power, and it does not run, replace the pump. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
