Jeff for Model Number GTWN3000Mws ge washer wont drain. pump is running. hoses are not stopped up. can drain tub if I lower the discharge hose below the tub and into a bucket (gravity). it will pump sometimes. I took it out and the impeller spins freely and I can see the pump work when I plug it in. maybe its getting hot and locking up but I can feel it and hear it trying to pump.
Answer Jeff, You're probably on target, the motor windings could be getting hot and the motor will "stall" and not drain the tub. But it's more likely the impeller is loose on the motor shaft and won't drain the tub when "under a load". Replace the pump and all should be fine. Read More...
