Pa Houa January 17, 2013 for Model Number wcxr1070a1ww I have a GE washer model number wcxr1070a1ww. It does not spin anymore and the water does not drain properly. Do you have a water pump for this? What else could be wrong? Nothing is stuck where its not allowing the washer to spin. Help?
1 Answer Hello Pa Houa, You will want to check to make sure that there is nothing clogging the pump or the drain lines. The unit will not spin out properly if the unit is not draining water. If nothing is clogged and pump is not evacuating water then you would need a new pump assembly WH23X10030. Read More...

Bobby December 21, 2012 for Model Number lsr8233eq/2 My washing machine is over filling with water at the last cycle.
1 Answer Hello Bobby, This can be a ball of lint at the opening in the outer tub where the pressure switch hose connects to the outer tub or a bad pressure switch or water valve failing. If you unplug the machine and open the control panel, you can remove the hose from the pressure switch and blow through it. This will blow the lint back into the tub from the small opening at the end of the pressure switch hose. If this doesn't work, the water valve can be eliminated as the problem by letting the unit fill with water in the part of the cycle where it overfills and unplug the unit. If the water stops, it cannot be the fault of the water valve 285805. The pressure switch W10820051 is now in question. Read More...
Chris T December 04, 2012 for Model Number WHDSR315D5WW My washer does not stop when it reaches the end of a cycle. It starts into the next cycle on the dial and does so continuously. Setting the dial manually to a spin point does not drain or spin the tub. A humming sound comes from the washer at that point. Is my problem more likely with the pump or the timer?
1 Answer Hello Chris, Based on the information provided it sounds like the timer WH12X10254 may have contacts sticking and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Thadal November 14, 2012 for Model Number vbxr1070w0aa During the wash cycle, my machine makes a grinding noise and will not spin during spin cycle. The clothes are soaking wet. What could this problem be?
Chuck October 30, 2012 for Model Number GE S3200Y1WW Washer fills properly on both the wash and rinse cycles. However, on both cycles the water slowly drains and the tub needs to be refilled by using the water level reset. If the machine is turned off (eliminating the operating sound) when water is in the tub, you can hear the water trickling out through the discharge hose. Obviously the drain valve is leaking. What part(s) need to be replaced? Are there any surprises I can expect to run into when changing this part? Thank you for your help; it is greatly appreciated.
1 Answer Hello Chuck. You need to check and see if the drain hose is to far into the drain stand pipe. If so, it will cause the issue you are having with the unit. Read More...
Timothy October 17, 2012 for Model Number whdre526e1ww My washer fills extremely slow. How do I check for restrictions on the screens? If they are good then what's the next issue? There is good water pressure coming from the house.
1 Answer Hi Timothy, You could turn off the water and check your hoses[TJ725RBFFP] and fill valve WH13X10024 for any restrictions. If not, I would try replacing the fill valve. Hope this helps! Read More...
Tim October 11, 2012 for Model Number GTWN4950LOWS Hi, Our washer fills with water but dose not empty when it's supposed to. everything else seems to work. I'm guessing it's the pump. The washer isn't very old but past warranty. Do you think it's the pump or a switching problem ? Thanks, Tim
1 Answer Hello Tim. Check and see if there is power coming to the pump. If so, and the pump does not run or drain, and is not clogged, you will need to order and replace the pump WH23X10030 on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Wendy October 07, 2012 Hi, my washer seems great, until the spin cycle starts then it makes a loud noise continually like buzzing, hard to describe, but not correct. It seems fine the belt moves etc but I took this pump off and it doesn't look obstructed, it's a 2006 model, would the pump be a good place to start by replacing it? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Wendy. If the noise is coming from the pump, then yes, you will need to replace the pump WH23X10030 on the unit. Read More...
Jesse September 05, 2012 for Model Number 6364851644 My washer will run through the wash cycle, but when it comes time to drain it just buzzes loudly and won't spin. Once I get enough water out it will start spinning, but the humming sound continues while spinning. I think it is the pump since it will spin in the drain cycle.
1 Answer Hello Jesse. Based on the information you provided, either the pump is bad or it is clogged. If not clogged, you will need to replace the pump WH23X10030. Read More...
