Rd July 29, 2017 for Model Number RGB533BEKBB I have a Hotpoint gas range. I replaced the oven ignitor with a new one as it was taking several minutes for the gas to come on. The new one takes about 20 second on so to glow once the oven is turned on. Is this a normal time frame? The gas comes on right after that, within 30-35 seconds. Thank you.
1 Answer Rd, Yes the timing that it is taking from the time the igniter comes on to the time that flames starts is correct. Read More...
Sid July 06, 2017 for Model Number Hotpoint Model No. RGB745BEA4D Hotpoint Model No. RGB745BEA4AD, Serial No. TZ210039R My oven igniter is not glowing and the oven is not turning on. The broiler is working fine as are the stove top rings. The igniter has the following numbers on it 205C1398G3 283 0035 Please advise the proper part and part number to replace this item. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Sid. You will need to test for power from the board to the igniter to see if it is there. If not, you will need to replace the control board WB27K10140. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
John June 21, 2017 for Model Number GE Spectre XL44 Range is about 14 years old. Gas burners ignite well. Broiler ignites, however the BAKE cycle does not. The OVEN CLEAN cycle works but only weakly. I presume the BAKE IGNITER is burned out. The Model number is JGBP35WEA7WW and the Serial number is FD246574P. I cannot find anything with these numbers. Do you have an igniter for this unit?

Lys January 22, 2017 for Model Number JGBS23DEM1BB Recently my oven has given me problems. My range top works perfectly but on Christmas day my oven was not putting off much heat. I few days later i tried it again. The igniter is lit up orange. I can smell gas but it takes about 3 to 5 mins to ignite. The oven then made a whooshing noise when it finally ignited. It said that it preheated to 400; however, when I opened the oven door it was probably closer to 200. Do you think this is just an igniter that needs to be replaced?
1 Answer Hello Lys. Yes, it sounds like the ignitor is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Daniel January 10, 2017 for Model Number JGBS23BEL1BB I recently replaced the igniter (WB13K21) on my oven because the oven stopped working, even though the burners work fine. It seems that the igniter doesn't even come on when I turn the oven on. What else can I check to find out why it's not getting power? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Daniel, You will need to verify that the oven thermostat WB20K8 is passing voltage when set to the bake setting. Read More...
Claud H December 25, 2016 for Model Number JGBS20WEA1WW When the oven comes on or restarts it makes like a hissing noise, it works but is annoying. Is it the igniter or the regulator want order the part but want to make sure I'm getting the right part thanks.
1 Answer Claud, The issue with this would be more likely the safety valve WB19K31 making this hissing type of noise. Read More...

Brenda December 06, 2016 for Model Number WB13K21 Hi, First, Im alone doing this and Im deathly afraid of messing with a gas appliance, haha. Please tell me theres no way I could blow the house up! haha I also dont understand why you would need to splice the wires.
1 Answer Brenda, With the installation of the oven igniter there will be no gas turned on so will be no issue with replacement. It will only fit into the location that it is supposed. You would splice the wires only if the connector does not fit with the connector on the range then you would cut the connectors off and splice the wires together with ceramic wire nuts. Read More...
