Harvey December 05, 2016 for Model Number JGBS23DEM2WW Burners work fine but neither oven or broiler work. Igniter is not heating at all. Can you recommend a solution? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Harvey. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Sandra September 30, 2016 for Model Number JGBS10BEH1BB Does this part have round plug ends with flats one side
1 Answer Sandra, Yes, the igniter connector is "keyed" to fit the existing wire harness connector. The part also contains high temperature porcelain wire nuts in case there is a wiring change or difference. "Oven igniter assembly. Short ceramic style igniter with mounting bracket and wire nuts for installation. Amperage range is 3.3 to 3.6. *Connector may need to be cut off and wires spliced to range wiring with porcelain wire nuts." The part is in stock and available at this time. Dan September 01, 2016 for Model Number GE. Range stove top cannot find model number Stove top igniter just operates randomly. Have to really turn back or play with the knob to get it to stop. Seems to be just one knob but I can get the igniter to stop by playing with the other ones also. Will stay off for hours and then just started clicking. Have to go to kitchen and jiggle the knob to get it to stop. The magneto seems to operate at all burners. How do I trouble shoot or should I just replace the whole thing?

Jamie August 14, 2016 for Model Number GE JGBP86 or JGB916 My oven is GE JGBP86. It has two ignitors. The top one (broil) works well but the bottom one ( Bake) can’t light the gas. The ignitor glows. I compared the two ignitors and I think they have similar colors. Both of them are not bright white. How can I determine which part is wrong? Need your help badly. Thanks

Fhunt May 03, 2016 for Model Number 36275205890 The top burners were working fine, but the over wouldn't light, so i ordered a replacement igniter. I just got done installing the new igniter, and the oven lit right away, but now it won't turn off with the knob. I have to shut the gas supply off to kill the flame.
1 Answer Fhunt, You'll need to recheck the wiring between the new igniter and the oven safety valve WB19K31. If the wiring is OK, and since you have to turn the gas off to shut down the oven burner, you'll need to check or replace the safety valve (it probably has a defective bi metal switch inside the assembly. Kamal April 09, 2016 for Model Number JGB805SEP3SS Replaced the oven igniter with brand new igniter (WB13K21) but the new igniter does't glow. Everything working fine except the fact that oven. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Kamal, This can be caused by the control valve WB19K10043, the control WB27K10355, or the new ignitor WB13K21. You will need to check for voltage to the ignitor. If no voltage, need to check for 120Vac from the control board. If voltage is present, check for neutral through the control valve. Read More...
Martin April 05, 2016 for Model Number JGB920SEC3SS My broiler quit working so I replaced the igniter as I had done on the oven when it quit working. The oven works fine. This didn't help as the broiler still wouldn't light. I surmised it must be the safety valve and replaced it. Neither of these attempts resolved the problem. Can you tell me where to look next for the fix?
1 Answer Hello Martin. You need to check and see if the ignitor is glowing. If not, and it is new, you will need to replace the control board in the unit. Read More...
Martin April 04, 2016 for Model Number JGB920SEC3SS Broiler won't light, oven works fine. I replaced the broiler igniter but that didn't help. I next replaced the safety valve and that didn't work, although the oven continues to works fine. I am stumped !!! What next?
1 Answer Martin, You will want to check to see if the oven igniter is coming on. If it is not coming on then it will most likely be a faulty control board that is causing this issue. The part number for the control board is WB27K10059. Read More...
