Ali February 13, 2019 I'm looking to replace 6 in and 8 in heating elements on my GE cooktop, circa 1969. Model Number is JP 8401HT. Right now the stove has 2 Extra Hi-Speed Calrods and 2 regular calrod elements (one of each size.) I'm also interested in replacing the broiler and bake elements in a GE oven, also purchased around 1969. Model No. is JK2904HT
1 Answer Ali, The part number for the bake burner will be WB44X169 and the broil will be WB44X173 for the wall oven. For the cooktop the 8" element will be WB30X341 and the 6" element will be WB30X342. Read More...
Boomer October 15, 2018 for Model Number J P7601DC I have a GE 30in cooktop, I am trying to find the replacement 6in and 8in elements along with the replacement ceramic receptacle blocks. All of the parts that I am finding diagrams on show them in a range. My particular cooktop is a stand alone drop in cooktop separate from the oven. Will these elements fit my particular cooktop?
1 Answer Boomer, For a proper diagnosis, we would need you to please verify the model number from the units' I.D. tag since it will not come up for us as a valid model number. Read More...
Tom August 16, 2018 for Model Number None found I have an old GE custom cooktop that needs a replacement burner. I'd say 6" but it measures 5-1/2". There is no part number on the cooktop unit, but underneath there is an electrical drawing No. 371D442P2. The burners all have 4 leads. I think I see a similar one on your site, but is there a way to confirm? I haven't removed the bad burner, would there be a number on it somewhere if I did? Thanks for any help.
1 Answer Tom, the "general" terminology for cook top burner elements is 6 inch or 8 inch burner element, Even though it measures 5 1/2 inches, it would be called a 6 inch element, the 8 inch element is the same, it may measure 7 1/2 inches but would be called an 8 inch element. Without a model number, and based on the photo of the part, it will fit and work in your range, and is most likely the "factory direct" replacement part, for an older range/cooktop like yours. Ronald H June 24, 2018 for Model Number 109RD14 I own a Hotpoint Stove that I can’t find a reference for the model number. The number on the stove is 109RD14. One of the 6” burners needs replacing. The burner has 3 connections, but they are reversed compared to the replacement ones I’ve seen online. Two lines one connector on left, with two single connectors on right.
1 Answer Ronald, The 6" element for this unit would be 660749 but unfortunately has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. Read More...
Bob H March 18, 2018 for Model Number GE cooktop mfg 1967 model JP7601DC For Calrod burner WB30X356: looking for 3 wire harness connectors to the pushbutton controls. On the burner end they have a flat plate with a screw hole that fits in the ceramic 2-piece insulator. On the pushbutton end, they fit onto a tab with a side-rolled clip connector. Black, red, white. About 12-18 inches long. Is there an available harness to do the job? My old wires keep breaking.
Stephanie March 04, 2018 for Model Number IJ400W1N2 10.9 We have a wonderful 1957 GE electric stove (bought it from the original owner). Serial number PN20179A. One of the electric coil burners needs replacing (we left a glazed ceramic dutch oven on it for too long and some of the ceramic stuck to the coil). It still works but is sort of unsightly. Would this be the correct replacement coil? The current coil measures 7.5" (just coil itself). Can you get replacement coils with the old GE insignia in the middle? Our other coils have that. Thanks!
1 Answer Stephanie, The part number for the 6" element will be WB30X356 and the 8" element will be part number WB30X354. Read More...
