For Ge Surface Element, 8" (Part Number: OEM7904358)

Chuck S. for Model Number unk but could be: JP7600 2W1 (last 3 digits uncertain)

I have a GE range with a separate counter top electric cooking element. The stove is probably vintage 1975. The -- the 8 inch surface heating element shorted. It is a 3 prong set up (2 separate and 2 connect to make 1 prong). The stove has push button controls. The heating element is screwed into stove on a hinge with a sheet metal screw. The prongs go into a ceramic block. The model may be J P7600 2W1 -- but the last 3 digits are very difficult to read. The serial # is RV742630G. Can you tell me the model identifier for the proper replacement element? Thank you, Chuck S.

Boonjug for Model Number J33902dc113

My GE range is a 1968 pushbutton model P7 self-cleaning model (top of the line, that year). I need to replace a 6" & a 8" burner. These burners have a tilt lock mounted hinge, that looks similar to the ones you are showing as AP2634783, but I can't see the detail clearly in your picture. I can get one similar at a local store, but they don't stay up like the originals that camewith my stove. Can you tell me they are exactly like my old ones? The original ones have a curled tail on them that allows them to grab the stove top to remain up for cleaning under the drip pans.
