Jose October 25, 2017 for Model Number PSS25NGNABB Temperature on my GE refrigerator side it's too cold, 27 degrees, and I can't control it. The freezer side it's ok. 0 degrees.
1 Answer Jose, You will want to check the damper assembly to make sure that the damper is not broken. If it is then you will need to replace part number WR49X10091. Read More...
Karen September 23, 2017 for Model Number PDS22SCRBRSS My bottom freezer refrigerator was overheating. We replaced the motherboard -- then heard clicking -- replaced the PTC relay -- and now fresh food portion reads 18 degrees . Is it the thermistor? How many thermistors does my model have? The freezer reads 2, so I think this is functioning. What are the model numbers. I ordered the top thermistor, but thinking I should order others just in case.
1 Answer Karen, There should be 1 thermistor in the refrigerator compartment and would most likely be on the top under a oblong slotted cover. Read More...
Lee September 15, 2017 for Model Number Pss26pstass I have replaced the main motherboard, the interface dispenser And the interface control board. Nothing but the inside lights worked until I replaced the main board. The interface control board reads -47* until you push an up or down temperature change button. Which changes for a moment but then reverts back to -47*. Could I have a bad thermistor? And which one as I believe there are 3 of them. Thank you for your help.
1 Answer Lee, If the freezer side is showing -47 it would be recommended to replace the sensor WR55X10025 located at the bottom of the freezer compartment at the back. Read More...
Erming September 12, 2017 for Model Number GTH21SBXASS I don't see GTH21SBXASS is on the fitting list. But is this sensor a universal for all the GE fridges? If yes, I would like to give it a shot. If it is definitely no, can you please suggest the matching temperature sensor for GTH21SBXASS?
1 Answer Hello, the sensor in question would require a board to function properly and would not be considered universal. Your unit uses thermostat part number WR50X10104 to control the temperature. Hope this helps! Read More...
Ronnie J August 04, 2017 for Model Number G/E MODEL LSHF6LGZBCBB SERIAL 433407 My ice box stop getting cold I replace the heater defrost, still want drop below 32 degrees. I was told the temp. Sensors could be bad . I was watching a video and it was talking about the ground behind the panel in the freezer . I don't recall the ground will that make a different. How many sensors i need if that might be the problem.
1 Answer Ronnie, With this issue, you will want to check the evaporator coils to see if there is a good frost pattern. Check to see if the frost pattern is a full even frost pattern from top to bottom. If the frost is only on part of the evaporator coils then this will be a sealed system issue and would need to have service. The temp sensors would most likely not be the issue. Read More...
Gladys July 09, 2017 Hello, last year GE replaced the compressor. I also replaced the inverter that i got from your company. A few days ago my milk went bad, I didn't think nothing of it since everything else in the fridge was cold but, a few days later I see the temperature of the freezer and the fridge were high and I put them to recommended temperatures and they would not stay at the numbers I pressed on. The fridge part is now at 55 the freezer is at 12 but, the freezer side is working and cold, nothing has defrosted so I don't get it. I hear the fan in the fridge when I close the door or press the door button as if to close the door but, I'm not feeling any cold come from the Lil vent from the freezer side that is on the left side of fridge panel. I feel a Lil cold from the back of the interior wall where there is a bracket but it's not getting cold like it should. What can it be? I have a GE monogram zfsd25dxcss thank you
1 Answer Gladys, This issue would most likely be caused by either a thermistor that is faulty which the thermistor can be tested for resistance of 5K ohms at room temp. If the resistance is good then the control board or the damper assembly would be faulty. Read More...
Jerry June 06, 2017 for Model Number PSIC5RGXCFBV Can a thermistor in the refrigerator cause both refrigerator and freezer to completely defrost and then recycle back on with both sides working again?
1 Answer Jerry, Yes the thermistor located on the freezer evaporator coil can cause the unit to go into defrost and stay in defrost too long causing the unit to completely defrost and then recycle back on. Read More...
Tita May 23, 2017 for Model Number PSS 26SGRE SS Freezer is running at 15°F. Refrigerator 43°F. Fan was cleaned and Freon was added 6 to 10 oz. but not taking it and compressor was cutting out . What is the solution?
1 Answer Hello Tita, The critical charge of Freon is shown on the units' I.D. tag. 6 to 10 oz. of Freon is way too much Freon and the compressor is most likely damaged from the improper charge. You will need to contact a Freon certified technician to correct the problems with the sealed system and diagnose the initial cause of the issue. Read More...
