Yili September 02, 2016 for Model Number GE dryer I need WE4M527 to replace the timer in my dryer. the problem is that the turning stern in the replacement part is plastic. This does not last long for high temperature operation in the dryer environment. Do you have the timer with metal turning stern instead? I don't like the plastic stern one as I can see that I will have to spend more than $80 every year to replace it. plus the time to fix it. Appreciate your help.

1 Answer Richard, You probably do need a new timer WE4M527, this type/style timer shouldn't be that difficult to turn and set in a cycle. You do want to make sure you save or purchase the metal knob insert WH01X10106 when you replace or install a new timer knob. The insert keeps the knob from cracking or breaking. Read More...
Gary April 16, 2015 for Model Number gtdp490edows Replaced timer I received from you. It still is hard to turn and cracked a new knob I put on. What could be making it so hard to turn.
1 Answer Gary, This timer would be a one directional timer in which you will want to make sure that when turning the knob you are turning it the proper direction. If you are then the issue would most likely be that you received a faulty timer. Read More...
