Hello Wanda, I'm sorry but the timer shaft is made into the internal workings of the timer assembly. I'm sorry but it is not possible to replace the shaft/stem only.

Deb, There is a fuse on top of the heater that if fails will keep the unit from starting. WE4M182 A continuity test will need to be done on the fuse. Should have two brown wires going to it. If the fuse has continuity then you can check the timer for continuity between B and C on a timed dry cycle and should have continuity. This is testing the contacts inside the timer and no power is needed for this test. If the fuse is good and the timer tests good then the motor is the most likely suspect.

Chuck F for Model Number GRDN510GM0WS

My GE Gas dryer starts and runs normally about 10-15 minutes, then, shuts off. It doesn't trip any circuit breakers, but, will start again after about 10 minutes. Everything seems to work ok as far as heating and tumbling. My guess is maybe a timer, but, would like some more suggestions about what else to consider. FYI - I recently replaced the front drum bearings and accidently caused a short in a wire when I put it back together that tripped a breaker. I fixed the "short" and the the dryer has ran perfectly for more than two weeks until this latest issue. Thanks

Luke, Without the model # we can't look up parts and specs but usually, the parts are specific to the model number. So the chances of harness connecting or functionality could be an issue.

Gary, The connection at the C terminal is a piggyback connection in which it is one connector but has a spade coming off the side that would allow a second wire to be attached. You will pull off both wires and they will be able to be plugged into the C terminal.
