Art April 24, 2020 for Model Number ge grdn510em1ws I changed timer because it did not advance, new timer does the same thing. Is there some other component that could cause this problem? I would also like the wire connections for timer part # we4m527
1 Answer Art, the timer would be wired as follows: Red to terminal B, orange to terminal A, orange and black wire to terminal D, brown to terminal C, pink to terminal H, white to terminal T, black to terminal S, and yellow to terminal X. The timer motor would receive voltage from the printed circuit board WE04X10103 which can cause the timer motor to not operate. If the timer is not advancing during the auto or timed dry, the issue would be in the circuit board based on the information provided. Read More...
Juan April 13, 2020 for Model Number GE Washer GTDX300EMOWS My dryer stopped working and was making a ticking noise. The ticking noise stopped and the timer was not working. I bought and installed a GE Timer Part #: AP5780508 (WE4M533). After timer was installed & dryer plugged in the ticking noise can be heard, the dryer timer works, and it is operable. Someone know what is causing the ticking noise and if it can be fixed. Also, will operating the dryer while ticking kill the timer? Lastly, is it hazardous to operate the dryer with the clicking noise? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Juan, a ticking noise is usually associated with a timer motor, if the timer is running after the cycle is finished check if the Extra Care selector is on. Otherwise, try to locate where the ticking noise is coming from , which will give us an idea of what is causing it. Read More...
