Miguel, There should be a belt switch that you would want to check as well to ensure that it is good. Also, to properly assist with the question we will need to have the model number of your dryer.

Elizabeth, pink will go to terminal X, purple to terminal A, blue to terminal J, tan to terminal F, orange to terminal C, and yellow to terminal H. There should be a red wire for the incoming voltage that would go to terminal B. With the wires plugged in, the grey could be in place of the red wire and can be verified by testing for 120VAC when plugged into the timer and the timer in the off position. If there is 120VAC, the grey wire is the incoming voltage supply.

Jenn, Basically, you'll need to check the outlet and the power cord and the breaker to make sure there's power to the dryer. Since you've replaced the start switch, the next check should be the door switch. It has to have a "closed" circuit when the door is closed, to complete the circuit and allow the motor and heater to operate. Then check the motor/idler pulley and belt, if the belt broke, if the switch has failed the dryer won't start and run as well. A model number would be a big help in researching and advising you properly. Thanks,

Larry, it is recommended that the terminal block is tested for 240VAC from the black wire to the red wire. If there is not 240VAC, either there is a power cord issue or a power supply issue. If there is 240VAC, set the timer WP8299779 to timed dry and measure for 240VAC from the timer terminal BK to the timer terminal WB. If there is 240VAC and the timer does not advance, the timer has failed.
