Steve August 10, 2020 for Model Number 795.78419.800 Kenmore refrigerator PCB board went out on my Kenmore refrigerator. I got replacement PCB AP4450216 (EBR34917104) . The connector at the bottom middle of my old board has four pins, the replacement board in the same position (same connector style but larger) has 6 pins. Is there an adapter cable to bridge this, or would I have to get a different connector and wire it in?
1 Answer Steve, based on the model number you provided the board you have is wrong. I found your model number calls for EBR41956101 (EBR41956101). Read More...
Larry Goldstar June 20, 2020 for Model Number LFX25950SB We had a power surge and when the power came back on nothing in the fridge was working. The ice maker is making a clicking sound every second unless I unplug it.
1 Answer Larry, With the unit not working at all then, this would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board which will need to be replaced. Read More...
Sal June 16, 2020 for Model Number LFX25960ST Hello, having a problem with my fridge lights. Sometimes they don't turn on, and lately it is getting worse. Today I replaced both door switches on french doors. I am still having the same problem. Could my problem be associated with main PCB electronic control board and if so what is the correct part number for this fridge. I also suspect the lights are sometimes staying on when the doors are closed, I confirmed this suspicion by leaving my phone inside while set to video recording. Model LFX25960ST Serial # 706KRYP02738 thank you in advance Sal
1 Answer Sal, based on the information provided, it would be recommended that the door switches are tested from the main control EBR34917104. With the refrigerator unplugged, the door refrigerator doo switch circuit would be tested at the connection CON4 from pin 10 to pin 11 for continuity. If there is continuity, the main control has failed. If there is not continuity, then there is more than likely a failed wire as the switches have been replaced. Read More...
Sam May 20, 2020 for Model Number LFX31925ST/00 There is No error code on the front panel. There is led brinking 8 times on the PCB board. How do I make sure that I need to replace this PCB board?
1 Answer Sam, the main PCBoard LED blinks 8 times when there is an error between the mainboard and the condenser fan motor. You'll want to remove power then remove the compressor compartment cover on the back of the refrigerator. Check for any loose or damaged wires, check the fan motor, blade and surrounding area for debris or blocking the blade. Slowly rotate the fan blade by hand, if it's "sticky" or "stiff" replace the fan motor, if the fan is OK, replace the PC Board. Read More...
Carolyn April 08, 2020 for Model Number lg-lfx25960tt The diplay screen shut off completely. The fridge and freezer work, but the touch screen buttons are shut off and do not work. I cannot access water temp, control, and ice maker, and filter moth remaining. Please advise, do I need a new touch screen, main control or both? Thank you
1 Answer Carolyn, You will want to test to see if there is power getting to the control board. There should be 12 VDC at the CN101 connector on the display board. If there is no power on this connector then check at the door hinge for loose or damaged connections or wires. If this is ok then the issue will be a faulty main control board. If there is the power to the display board then this will be a faulty display board. Read More...
Lori April 01, 2020 for Model Number LFX25960ST The display on my LG French door refrigerator is showing error code “CO”. The refrigerator and freezer are still working, but not the water or ice buttons on the touchpad. Do I need to replace my main control board and if so, what is the part number for my refrigerator model?
1 Answer Lori, For this issue, the most likely cause will be a faulty main control board on the unit. The CO is a micom communication error between the main control and the display. Read More...
Paul November 11, 2019 for Model Number 3 dr lg refrigerator LFX25960TT unit totally dead plug and unplug you hear ice maker door close that is it. have electricity at the wall plug nothing else is lit no inside light front panel black has only one fuse on the main panel, it is good electricity is going into the frig as the ice maker door operates
1 Answer Paul, based on the information provided, the main control EBR34917104 is not sending voltage to the components as necessary. However, if this has resulted after a power surge, it is possible that there may be more items impacted. Read More...
Ron May 03, 2019 for Model Number LG LSC27950ST I went on vacation for two weeks and when I got back, my ice maker was not working. The green LED was not on. I removed it and opened up the house where the circuits are and it had a burnt smell. I replaced the ice maker but still do not get power. the control panel works fine and the water dispenser works as well. Any ideas where I should look next?
1 Answer Ron, you will want to check for burnt wires where the icemaker is. The burnt odor is an indicator that somewhere in the circuit, an electrical component or wire overheated and burned. If there is not a visible indicator, then it is likely that a wire inside of the door [3581JA8714N] is the issue. Read More...
Louis January 17, 2019 LFX25960ST is my frig Model# I got a a error code on front display which reads Er IF after looking on your site I ordered and replaced the ice box fan assembly now the error code is gone but the fan does not turn on what else can it be could this new fan be defective or is it something else how can I troubleshoot to get it working again? Thank you, Louis
1 Answer Louis, The fan will not run if the door is open without pushing the light switch. If the fan does not run when the light switch is pushed then check to see if the fan is getting 12vdc to it. If it is not then the control board would be the issue and if it is but not running then the fan would be the issue. Read More...
Leo October 16, 2018 for Model Number LG LFX23965SB HI Sir, My french door, bottom freezer fridge shows ER DH on the panel. The fridge stopped working overnight a week ago. I called a repairman who pushed a little button on control board and the fridge restarted. Few hour later the ER DH sign appeared. Since then I shut it and restart after 30 seconds every 8 hours to get the panel back to show temps and ice and everything seems ok. If I leave it at ER DH without shutting and restarting would it cause any problem? Is it possible that the problem is caused by the main panel board? If I need to change the panel board what is the the right part number? Can I buy a panel board from you? Thanks, Leo
1 Answer Leo, That error is a defrost failure or the sensor in the defrost circuit did not see the temp it wanted within an hour after defrost. Check the defrost sensor on the control connector 6 between pins 7 and 8 for 30k ohms. Also, check the heater and thermostat for continuity in a 0-degree environment. Read More...
