Stacy January 13, 2016 for Model Number Lfx21960st The lights in the refrigerator are not turning off when the switches are depressed (until they overheat). I have had the switches tested and a current goes thru. The fan does come on when they are depressed so I don't think that's the problem. Should I replace the light socket assembly or the board? If it's the board which one exactly? Is it the pcb or main control board?
1 Answer Hello Stacy. You will need to order and replace the main control board EBR34917104 in the unit. Read More...
Mark November 25, 2015 for Model Number LG LFX25960SW The ice maker on my LG refrigerator stopped making ice a few weeks ago. Since then, I replaced the water valve at the back of the refrigerator, the water valve in the door, the ice maker unit, and the water filter. It now makes ice, but only about 4 cubes per day. I checked to see if the water line to the ice maker was frozen and it was not. Could the main control board be the problem? I wonder if it is not telling the valves to open and give the ice maker water.
1 Answer Mark, With all the parts that have been replaced, it would most likely be a faulty main control board that is causing the icemaker to not work properly. Also check the ice fan in the freezer to make sure that it is working. Read More...
Bob August 17, 2015 for Model Number LG # LFX25960ST Shows error code 1F. Replaced the ice blower motor. Still shows same code. is the next step to diagnose the main control board? I have read the entire service manual for this refer but it appears to be a translation from Korean and is unclear how to test the board. Is there a better explanation of the procedure to diagnose this error code?
1 Answer Bob, To check the control board for Ice fan to see if there is power. You will need to check for 12 vdc on the control board to the ice fan. If there is not 12 vdc then the control board would need to be replaced. Read More...
Charlie August 26, 2014 for Model Number 795 77579600 The refrigerator section is at 31*. The actuator is working ok,(to cut off the freezer air). There is no error code. Which is the probable cause - The sensor or the main board ? If it is the sensor, where is it located ?
1 Answer Charlie, The sensor would be the most likely cause for the unit getting too cold. in the refrigerator compartment. The sensor is part of the multi duct assembly 5209JJ1009D which unfortunately the manufacturer has discontinued with no replacement available. Read More...
Dale August 06, 2014 for Model Number 79577572600 A technician put a computer board on the back of the fridge and the refrigerator still is warm the freezer is cold. ER FF is the code on the front of the refrigerator. That was there before he put the new board on and still is.
1 Answer Dale, The ER FF error means that the evaporator fan in the freezer is not running. You will want to check voltage to the fan but the fan motor is most likely bad and would need to be replaced. Part number of the motor is 4681JB1027C. Read More...
