  • Common symptoms: fan not running or intermittent, loud grinding/squealing, warm temperatures, hot compressor area or cabinet sides
  • May run noisy before failing or cause the fridge to run longer than normal
What's included: One DC fan motor Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and pull the refrigerator out for rear access
  • Remove the lower rear access panel to reach the fan area near the compressor
  • Note connector orientation; transfer the fan blade and any grommets/bracket from the old motor if applicable
  • Ensure the blade spins freely and wires are clear before restoring power and reassembling

Mary, The er RF will be a freezer evaporator fan error. You will want to remove the rear wall of the freezer and check to make sure that the fan is plugged in and if it is then test to see if there is 12vdc getting to it. If there is proper power then the fan is faulty and if there is not then this will be a faulty main control board.
