Sue December 16, 2013 There are a lot of questions on the light socket with the safety thermostat can you possible send me or post a picture with one connected that way I can see where it goes on the reflector. Greg September 19, 2013 for Model Number LFC25760SW I purchased a new light assembly (#6621JK2003B), I read a question submitted by Teri. I have the same problem, an extra round control of some type, and a ground type wire (green and yellow). Your answer was a "Main Control Board" that does not make sense to me, or did you mean the pcb assembly display board. If it is the Main Control, where is it, I do not see it within the area of the light assembly. Confused in Florida..thanks, Greg
1 Answer Greg, The light socket now comes with a bimetal which is the round control that you referred to. This bimetal will attach to the reflector assembly by using a 8/32 pan head screw that is no more than a 1/4" long. The ground wire (Green/Yellow) will attach to a tab that is on the reflector assembly. The main control board would need to be replaced due to an issue of the lights staying on and causing the light area to overheat. The part number required for the main control is 6871JB1423N and is located on the back of the unit behind a square panel. Read More...
Jay D August 17, 2013 I have a LG refrigerator, model # lfx25950sw. The concern is (a) removing the light bulb lens plate without breaking mount clips(don't know if they are on the length or width sides). (b) when replacing the doors (left & right) light switches, will there be a reasonable way to remove & replace them?
1 Answer Jay, To remove the light lens cover you will use a small flat blade screwdriver at the front of the cover. Go in between the cover and the casing on the left and right side and push inward and pull down. For the light switches, you will remove the hinge cover and take the switch out of the hinge cover and install the new one. There is no special ways to do this. Read More...
Terri July 23, 2013 for Model Number LG Refridgerator Model LFC25760SW Hello, We previously ordered the door buttons because our refridgerator light would not go on. We replaced them, the lights still don't work. We ordered the light socket assembly which was recommended for our refridgerator, but on receiving it, it looks different from the one my husband pulled out of the fridge. The original one has the sockets, a blue and purple wire and a white plug. The one we received has a round metal thing with a purple and pink wire attached, and also an extra green and yellow wire. Is this something new, or is the one recommended on your website maybe not accurate? If it is something new that should be attached, are there instructions on how to do this? If so, could you email them to me? If this isn't correct we'll need to return this one. Terri
1 Answer Hello Terri. The light socket assembly is correct and you would need to screw the round disc, which is a thermostat to keep the lights from staying on, to the reflector assembly. This repair will also require a new main control board 6871JB1423N to correct the issue of the lights staying on or not coming on. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Rose! No, the manufacturer does not offer screws in the light socket assembly kit EAG62831801. The screws that you can use would just be a Phillips 8/32 pan head and only needs to be 1/4" long at the most. Read More...

Mike May 15, 2012 for Model Number LFC25760TT I have read the answers regarding where to attach the thermostat which is part of the LG Light Socket Assembly (Part Number: AP4438935). The answer states that the thermostat is mounted with the "ears" so it will be placed against the cabinet and there will be opeing slots where the sensor mount tab's slide and lock into to be secure. Where are the opening slots located? I am not seeing any in the ceiling of the refrigerator? If possible can you send me a picture or diagram?
Wayne December 29, 2011 for Model Number LRFC22750ST I can't find any slots to mount the thermostat into. What now?
