Bill Maguire May 17, 2021 for Model Number SMH1816S microwave model smh1816s, is there a youtube video on how to replace the assy body latch, p/n AP4237456 ( assy which includes the three switches). The microwave runs with the door open and I am not sure which switch needs replacement.
1 Answer Bill, We do not have a video for this repair but it pretty easy. If you remove the air grill at the top of the unit there will be one screw holding the control panel in place. Remove the screw and lift up on the control panel. Once removed there will be 2 screws holding the latch assembly in place, remove the screws and take out the latch and put the new one in place. 1 Answer Francine, with the microwave unplugged for 10 minutes, the transformer high voltage fuse (top fuse of the noise filter DE96-00400D) would need to be tested for continuity (should have continuity). From there, the transformer DE26-00126A (part has been discontinued by the manufacturer) would need to be tested for resistance. The primary windings should test as having less than 1O. From there, the top terminal will need to be tested for resistance to ground and should show between 120 to 150O. If these test good, the magnetron OM75P-21-ESGN would then need to be inspected for any signs of overheating or damaged antenna. The diode DE91-70063D would need to be tested for continuity and should measure continuity from terminal to terminal in one direction but open when the terminals are tested in the opposite direction. The capacitor 2501-001011 would need to be tested for resistance and should start at infinite and slowly start registering a readable resistance value (meter set to a low resistance reading) If these all test good, it is likely that the main control DE92-02329F is not operating properly. Al February 06, 2020 for Model Number Samsung SMH1816S Microwave light turns on, timer works, but the turntable doesn't turn and doesn't heat. A couple of years ago we had a slightly different problem where the unit was running with door open. I replaced the door switch assembly at that time with one of your DE96-00414A parts which fixed that problem. Can you point me to what is the likely problem? Should I replace that assembly again or something else? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Al, If the problems occurred at the same time, the control DE92-02329F has failed. Read More...
Joyce B January 18, 2020 for Model Number 40180093700 The door doesn't shut tight and we replaced the door latch but the latches still don't come down. Should there be some kind of spring for the door latch? Also replaced the door latch body.
Micheal Crouse December 22, 2017 for Model Number Samsung SMH9151b Fuse blows every time you try to start the microwave have replaced the door latch after it broke
1 Answer Michael, The door latch would not be the issue with the unit but will want to test the door switches. A faulty door switch will cause this issue to occur. Read More...

Richard R November 16, 2015 for Model Number SMH1713S/XAA-0001 Hi. We have a Samsung over range microwave oven M# SMH1713S that has begun to turn on when closing the door.
