Rod February 24, 2020 for Model Number Kenmore 401.41003010 Ok, so I ordered and replaced the ice maker (da97-07549B) for my Samsung/Kenmore fridge model 401.41003010 but still the same problem. Icemaker will not make ice and does not even try to start after the test button is pressed. I do get the chime when pressed. Also I checked and do have 120v at the maker. It is on and I fully defrosted the freezer and I do get good pressure at the water dispenser. What next?
1 Answer Rod, Based on this issue, the icemaker may be coming on but the heater may not be which would cause the icemaker to not eject the ice. This would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board. Read More...

C Watson July 02, 2019 for Model Number ice maker assembly DA97-0759B How soon after a successful non complicated replacement of the ice maker should I expect water flow and ice making.?
1 Answer C. Watson, The ice maker has to get below 5-8F for it to cycle, This could take some time based on the part of the cycle it is in. The general rule is to give it 24 hours to begin working. Read More...
Rlm June 14, 2019 for Model Number RSG257AARS/XAA04 Ice maker makes ice but ice then freezes into a block and does not dispense. Also, motor can get stuck running as a result. What part/s do I need to replace? I’m thinking it’s not just the ice making part, but also the motor part.
1 Answer Rlm, Based on your post description, the more likely issue is low water pressure and/or faulty water inlet valve DA97-08587A. A faulty valve would allow water to "seep" into the ice bin and tray, causing the cubes to form a block of ice, Once the ice block forms and sticks to the ice bin, that will make it even harder for the motor to dispense the cubes. Check or replace the water filter if equipped. Read More...
Kenneth April 20, 2019 for Model Number Samsung RS265TDRS Have a new ice maker and the reset switch does not make a beep as expected. I think there is no power to the ice maker and I also suspect the heater has not been working as the teeth were stripped off of the motor assy in the old ice maker. A circuit board??
1 Answer Kenneth, I don't believe the reset button on the ice maker will beep. Also, make you hold down this button for at least 15 seconds, your ice maker is set to on in your display and before you do any of this unplug the unit for 3 minutes and let the control reset. Read More...
Roy Hall November 06, 2018 for Model Number RS265TDRS/XAA02 The ice maker fills the ice bin, then occasionally, I hear a continuous tab/knock sound from the ice maker attempting to dump more ice into the full bin, except that it is not not completing the cycle to dump ice. Do I replace the ice maker or is it something else?
1 Answer Roy, For this issue the icemaker would be the most likely cause for the noise and not dumping ice into the bin. Read More...
Jim October 10, 2018 for Model Number RSG257AABP/XAA Just wanted to let you know that if you run into the problem that the two screws are a different size when changing the mounting bracket from the old ice maker to the new one which some people run into. Just remove two of the three screws from the top of the old ice maker. They are a perfect fit. I ran into that problem. Will save you a lot of time and a trip to the hardware store. You might want to mention that to your customers. I got my ice make yesterday from you and installed it very easily.
