Rlm for Model Number RSG257AARS/XAA04 Ice maker makes ice but ice then freezes into a block and does not dispense. Also, motor can get stuck running as a result. What part/s do I need to replace? I’m thinking it’s not just the ice making part, but also the motor part.
Answer Rlm, Based on your post description, the more likely issue is low water pressure and/or faulty water inlet valve DA97-08587A. A faulty valve would allow water to "seep" into the ice bin and tray, causing the cubes to form a block of ice, Once the ice block forms and sticks to the ice bin, that will make it even harder for the motor to dispense the cubes.
