John C. March 30, 2019 for Model Number RS261MDBP/XAA ice maker We need a new ice maker, but can't find our model number. Our reset button is dead. We tried every fix. It hasn't worked for months. Do you have the replacement ice maker for our model?
Tim February 24, 2019 for Model Number RS261MDRS/XAA01 Water will fill and cycle if you push the test button. After it refills it will not cycle on its on. Replaced whole ice-maker assembly same results. Checked temp. well within range. Does the control board on this model have any thing to do with the ice maker working.
1 Answer Tim, Yes the control board would be the most likely cause for this issue of the icemaker not cycling on its own. Read More...

Troy August 29, 2017 for Model Number RS261MDRS/XAA My ice tray will fill but will not dump and cycle unless I press the test button. Have seen answers from thermistor, sensor, and icemaker replacement. I have read people buying new icemaker assembly and still not working because they bought a faulty icemaker, My question is why would this or any company keep sending out faulty parts or is this not the problem?
1 Answer Hello Troy, The parts we send out comes from the manufacturers of the appliances. Since these are parts manufactured by the appliance manufacturers, it appears the manufacturers need to get some correspondence concerning this matter. If you receive a bad part from us, we will replace it under the parts warranty. The issue you described is caused by a bad cycling thermistor on the icemaker so you will need to replace the icemaker assembly. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Marty M July 14, 2017 for Model Number RS261MDWP/XAA Icemaker quit working and somehow it broke the tray turning mechanism also...next in line is the entire led panel on the front left freezer door doesn't work..the bottom led bar on the refrigerator index just blinks ..nothing works..tried to find parts for this but no luck.
1 Answer Marty, For the icemaker issue, this will require the icemaker assembly to be replaced and for the dispenser would be a icemaker sensor error and should be corrected by replacing the icemaker. Read More...
Sundee April 05, 2017 for Model Number samsung rs261mdwp We replaced the ice maker. We reset the new one. We even unplugged the fridge for five minutes, waited a minute, and reset again. The tray will not dump. It will when we hit reset. Then it will refill. But then it won't dump again until we hit the reset button again. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Sundee, This issue would most likely be a faulty thermistor on the icemaker and would need a new icemaker. Read More...
