For Samsung Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly (Part Number: OEM16955274)

Bryan for Model Number RF261BEAESP/AA

Hello. Ice maker is not working. Pressing Ice maker reset button makes no noise. The separate cold water dispenser inside fridge works fine. The model number is RF261BEAESP/AA. When searching for this fridge on the site, there are similar models but not the exact one ending in “AA”. Please advise which ice maker I would need to order, and if there are any pre-steps / checks I should take (check water line?) before ordering the part. Thanks!!

Timothy for Model Number RF265AARS

My fridge has two numbers a Model number RF265AARS and a number that's called a BOM NAME RF265AARS/XAA. My ice maker quit a while back and I replaced it with a model DA97-07603B. The only way it will make ice is if I push the reset or manual button it will not make ice and dump on it's own. Is there another reset that has to be done or maybe the unit was defective? It's out of warranty so if I have to replace it I'll replace it. My original model, # DA97-05037A, came in the fridge. I see you have two different models not sure which one is the correct one. Please let me know which is the correct one if I need to order a unit. Thank you, Tim

David, it would be recommended that the temperature control is checked to identify that the ice off button has not been pressed. From there, the ice maker will need to be tested for voltage from the white wire with black stripe (using the red probe of a meter) to the white wire with the red stripe (using the black probe of a meter) for 5V DC. If there is no voltage, then the main control would need to be tested similarly at connection CN90 pin 13 to pin 14. If there is no voltage at either point, then the main control DA92-00384N has failed and would need to be replaced.

Randy for Model Number RFG298HDRS/XAA

The lower/freezer ice maker stopped making ice. Prior to it completely stopping making ice, I would have to push the test/reset button about every 2 to 3 weeks in order for it to make ice. It would then make ice for a while and I would repeat pushing the test/reset button. The occasional pushing of the test/reset button went on for many months. It finally totally stopped working. When I removed the ice maker the ice tray was over-filled with ice. I replaced the ice maker with part # DA97-05037D. After replacing the old with the new unit the ice ice maker still did not work. Pushing the test/reset button has no effect (no noise, no water, nothing). Any advice/help with this issue will be appreciated.

Hello Randy, first, check the freezer section is reaching 0 deg. Next, run the self-test mode Self Diagnosis: Press Energy Saver and Lighting buttons simultaneously for 8-12 seconds, (No sound when both buttons are pressed at the same time) until the display quits blinking and beeps, then release the buttons and read Fault Codes
