Stumpf November 16, 2020 for Model Number RF260BEAESR/AA-01 ice tray fills, then about 10 secounds later fills just a little bit more making cubes one big chunk
Sk November 14, 2020 for Model Number RF261BEAESR/AA-0001 Water is no longer going into the ice maker. The ice maker dispensing action worked fine when I pressed the test button.
1 Answer SK, it would be recommended that the ice maker fill tube is inspected to identify if it is blocked up from ice. If there is an ice block, the fill tube heater DA47-00192E would need to be tested for resistance and should measure 102O. If the resistance is not the proper resistance, the heater has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More...
John November 04, 2020 for Model Number RF197ACRS/XAA The ice maker works but the ice freezing and clumping all together. I am not sure if maybe too much water is being fed into the tray or not. I have seen where it is suggested the freezer has too much moister in it from a defective door gasket or it is defrosting too often.
1 Answer John, If this is the freezer icemaker that is clumping together then it may be that it is not being used as often as the refrigerator icemaker and when it goes into defrost multiple times it will cause the ice to get water and melt together. Also, check to make sure that the tray is not leaking as this could be another factor in the ice clumping together. If it is like a solid brick of ice then it would likely be that the water valve is not shutting off or the icemaker is sticking during fill cause the icemaker to overfill. Read More...

Barry October 07, 2020 for Model Number Part Number: AP5651755 Part Number: AP5651755 How long does it take for ice to form and drop?
1 Answer Barry, the cycle rate of the ice maker can vary depending on the temperature that it is being exposed to. For the most efficient harvest cycle time, it would need to be at 0°F. Generally, a full bin of ice should be made within a 24 hour period of time if a new ice maker is installed and the temperature is at 0°F. Read More...

Bruce August 04, 2020 for Model Number Samsung RF217ACWP/XXA After listening to people complain about this for a couple of years, I'm finally getting around to attempting a repair. The ice maker makes mostly broken cubes, with about 10-15% being whole cubes. Freezer temp set @ 0°, measures 0.3°-0.5° F. in main section of freezer. Ice in bin measures -3.9° to -4.1°. Like to know your thoughts. Thanks!
1 Answer Bruce, the temperature is a little warm for a Samsung refrigerator but should be cool enough to properly produce ice cubes and keep the products frozen. Do you use a lot of ice? if not you may need to discard some cubes or a bin of cubes. the more common issue for your situation is a faulty twist tray DA63-02284B and check the housing for any cracks or breaks in the support walls. Shelley July 23, 2020 for Model Number RF260BEAESR/AA-0001 At first I couldn't get the ice maker to work, then all of the sudden 1 day later it spits out 5 cubes of ice. In 15 hours, it has maybe produces 30 cubes. The refrigerator does make a loud hum noise, it stops when I open freezer but starts again when closed. What could be wrong if anything, I would think I would have more ice than I do. When I turn off the icemaker, the hum is still there. I'm calling HD today but thought I would also ask the question - Help!
1 Answer Shelley, Based on the information provided the hum is likely from the evaporator or ice fan. The ice maker seems to be working but you may have a temperature issue based on the airflow issue from one of the fans. Read More...
