Fernando, the sensor would be a part of the ice maker assembly DA97-08059A only. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list it separately.

Jeff for Model Number RF23J9011SR/AA Rev 1

My ice maker stopped making ice, but every once in a while it will make a cube or two. The error message was 14 C which indicates an error with the ice maker sensor. On your website you only sell the ice maker sensor bracket, but not the actual sensor. I called and a very nice lady assured me the part I need is AP4979323 which is the refrigerator temperature sensor. I got the part and watched the installation video it looks like this is the wrong part. Will changing the refrigerator sensor get my ice maker making ice again? I now have the temperature sensor but believe I still need the ice maker sensor. I am also wonder why would the ice maker sensor bracket need to be changed but not the sensor??? Please help.

Hello, Andy. If the icemaker rotates when you push the test button but water doesn't fill in, the problem is most likely with the water inlet valve that is the part of the water filter housing assembly p/n AP5331250. it's in the fresh food compartment on the right. But first remove the icemaker and check the water supply tube for blockage. Thank you.

Dennis, based on the information provided, the most likely issue would be the main control not identifying the switches independently from the water switch nor providing the proper communications with the dispenser board. However, there is a possibility of the LED on the dispenser board having failed indicating the dispenser board would need to be replaced. The switches can be tested for proper operation at the main control, with the power cord unplugged, by testing at connection CN 50 for continuity. From pin 5 to pin 7 (ice paddle pressed in), then pin 5 to pin 8 (water paddle pressed in) should all read for continuity when the corresponding switch is pressed.

Leon, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty icemaker sensor which would require a new icemaker for the unit.

Ricky, Yes this sensor bracket being missing could cause the issue if the sensor is hanging down. The sensor will allow the unit icemaker to cycle. If the sensor is sitting down in the ice it will cause the icemaker to cycle before the ice has formed.

Patricia, There should be 2 screws that would hold the icemaker in the freezer in place but unfortunately the manufacturer does not show the screw as an available part.

Hello Brad. After looking at the manual, they do not offer a feature on this model to disable that function. Sorry about that.
