Karen K December 10, 2018 for Model Number RF268ABWP My top Samsung ice maker has stopped freezing ice . I have reset it and it fills with water but doesn’t freeze . I have turned the ice maker off and left it off overnight the turned it back on reset it and still didn’t freeze . I have changed the filter and still nothing .
1 Answer Karen, Remove the ice bucket and check for frost built up on the bottom of the ice maker. Also, check to make sure the fan in the back operates. Ron November 05, 2018 for Model Number Not sure I just purchased a new Samsung refrigerator with Ice maker. This does not have the water dispenser. I hooked up the water and got it top work by pressing the reset switch. It fills the tray with water and makes the cubes. It is not dropping the cubes into the bucket and continuing to make ice. Is there a step I am missing to make this work properly?
1 Answer Ron, Without the model number, there is only so much we can do to help. The three things you need to make ice is water, 0-degree temps and power. Sounds like you are getting water and power so check your temps to see if you are cold enough. There should be a fan getting that cold air to the ice maker and that would be my first check.
