Doug January 17, 2017 for Model Number RFG297AARS/XAA This part has to be for a different Samsung model than mine (RFG297AARS); it is only a 7-cube icemaker, mine has a 9-cube and is longer. This one cannot fit as it does not reach the bracket at the back of the icebox, and the two mounting holes up front are not the same size as the original. How can you sell a part that is not going to fit the model I have, when your site plainly claimed it would? I am returning this with the expectation of including a shipping refund, since it is obviously not the right part and your site said it was.

1 Answer Hello Savannah, If the unit is operating normally, (maintaining proper temperatures), it is possible that the main board DA92-00384E has an issue since it does provide the power supply for the icemaker. You will first need to allow ample time for the icemaker to come down to temperature, (the icemaker will not cycle until the cycling thermostat inside the icemaker reaches about 20°F). There is also the possibility that the icemaker and/or water valve could have an issue. You should verify 120Vac is getting to the icemaker whith the door switch closed before ordering any parts. If voltage is present, the board is fine. If not, the board should be replaced. Read More...
