Stephen October 18, 2011 for Model Number Samsung Refrigerator model: RS2545SH I recently asked about my ice maker inability to produce ice cubes that are fully formed. You suggested to check filter and then if not it was probably the water valve AP4165558. Is it common that the valve will not open long enough to allow the proper amount of water to flow to the ice maker? I just want to be sure so I don't have to order the part and find out that I was just guessing. My problem is due to inadequate amount of water flowing to the ice tray. And this problem has been going on since I owned this refrigerator resulting in fragmented ice shavings.
1 Answer Hello Stephen. Yes, the valves can not fully open and cause the icemaker to partially fill. If the filter is good, you will need to replace the water valve. Hope this helps. Read More...
Stephen B. October 12, 2011 for Model Number Samsung RS2545SH Ice maker for this above Samsung Refrigerator does not fill completely with water giving us some small ice cubes. Is there an adjustment to turn up water capacity to this ice maker? Appreciate your professional input.
1 Answer Hello Stephen. Check and make sure the filter DA29-00003G is good on the unit. If so, it sounds like the water valve DA74-40150H is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
