Kathy May 24, 2016 I am having some of the same issues with the ice not dispensing as some others. I do believe the 'flipper' doesn't always close causing the ice to freeze right at the drop point for the ice. Last time we used a hair dryer to defrost the frozen ice at the neck. It was tedious and very time consuming, plus not so sure about the heat on the parts.(Even though I switch from heat to cool constantly) We are unable to remove the ice housing compartment because of the ice build up in the lower 'neck' area. So had this bright idea to take everything out of the freezer and turn the freezer off so the ice can melt, but have no idea how to turn off the freezer so we can do that. Any ideas for melting the ice or turning off the freezer?
1 Answer Hello Kathy. Unplug the unit to turn it off. You can use a hair drier as long as you do not over heat it. Read More...
Patrick April 06, 2016 for Model Number RS2577SL My Samsung has been randomly beeping for weeks. It seems to be locking and unlocking the panel, the light goes on and off with each beep. Initially, the freezer temp was fluctuating as well with the beeps and the buttons were not responding to being pushed, but now that seems to have stopped. They now work intermittently. Changing the control board looks like something I can do, but I'm also wondering if the problem could be up in the door panel. Thoughts? Thanks!
1 Answer Patrick, With the issue that you are having it would be more likely that the dispenser control board DA41-00204C would be the issue. Unfortunately this control board has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. Read More...
Dave February 02, 2016 for Model Number Samsing RS2555SW/XAA I have a Samsung side x side refrigerator/freezer. Yesterday the control board started intermittently turning on and off.(blacking out) Could my main control board be bad?
1 Answer Hello Dave. Yes, this can be caused by the main board in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Ryan January 07, 2016 for Model Number DA97-07365G I am having issues with my Samsung Ice maker properly making ice. My previous unit stopped making ice, so I purchased a new unit. It's having the same symptoms. The ice maker fills and freezes ice, but somehow the "flipper" that are supposed to remove the ice keep getting frozen into the ice cubs, the ice maker is then not able to flip the ice out because the cubes of ice with the flippers in them hit the top of the ice maker and get stuck. I'm unsure why the old and new ice makers are experiencing the same issues!
1 Answer Hello Ryan. You need to make sure it is 0 to 5°. If it is to cold, it will cycle to early and case the fingers to get stuck. Read More...

Mike October 07, 2015 for Model Number RS261MDWP/XAA My Samsung RS261MDWP/XAA will not harvest ice. I can push the reset button, it will harvest the ice, refill with water, water freezes, and that's it. I replaced the Icemaker assembly and got the same result. I'm thinking it might be the PCB. Any suggestions or advice?
1 Answer Hello Mike. Make sure the temp is 0 to 5°. If not, the icemaker will not cycle. Read More...
Jim October 05, 2015 for Model Number RF267AERS/XAA-0001 Have a SAMSUNG RF267AERS made Jan 2012. today we temporarly lost power and the display functions do NOT work, NO control button functions total of 6 buttons (can not set anything as far as temps or select ice options or water) It will dispense water and on the display on the left it posts 88 then 86 going back and forth, on right a solid 88. I physically unplugged and replugged from mains, a few times but has not changed the status or function. Fridge appears to be cooling and inside lights are working. any idea what is going on or how to resolve the issue with the panel function and display ?
1 Answer Jim, The flashing from 88 to 86 would be an error code in which it is a freezer compartment sensor error in which the sensor would most likely need to be changed. Read More...
