Jim E. C May 16, 2015 for Model Number samsung rs2533sw The display shows the and lights up, but none of the buttons respond. Pressing and holding childlock does nothing, and holding the top two buttons for diagnostics does nothing. It could be this or the main board. If I order the display panel and it does not solve the problem your store will not accept it for return or credit. I realize it's a pretty sweet deal for you guys if people order part after part they do not need and cannot return, but is there a way to test my display panel with a multimeter or something so I don't waste my money?

Jason March 26, 2015 for Model Number RS2534WW I ordered the dispenser board as suggested about the lights that were not working. I did not notice before ordering that this new board has some different option my other did not. Although they both appear to be the same part numbers? I decided to try it anyway and when I did I'm still not getting the ice type indicator to light, power cool, or power freeze. So it is doing the exact same thing as my old board was. Any other suggestions. Everything functions fine, It is just confusing sometimes because we've accidentally turned the ice off and not realized because the ice light type cube/crush/off doesn't light up. Also since the part must not be the problem, can I return the new board I purchased. Thank you
1 Answer Jason, You will want to check the wiring at the door connection at the top/bottom of the door and make sure that there is a good firm connection. If the connections check ok and no wires are damaged then the main control would most likely be the cause for the lights not coming on. Jason March 23, 2015 for Model Number RS2534WW Some of the lights on our Display don't light up. Such as Power Cool, Power Freeze, Child Lock and Ice Type Cubed, Crushed, Off. Everything still functions properly when you press those buttons, it just doesn't light up anymore. The Fridge/Freezer Temps Still display as does the filter indicator. Season February 21, 2013 for Model Number rs2533sw Samsung double-door fridge(bought in 2003) The fridge, freezer, and water dispenser all work but the ice-maker keep making ice as I cannot turn off the ice-making function because the display has become not responsive. I cannot get to change any settings of the fridge such ice, no-ice, crushed-ice, etc. All the buttons do not work except when used to reset (pushing top two buttons together). I also don't see any numbers when it is suppose to run a diagnostics. The fridge beeps a lot throughout the day indicating some problems (annoying) but it cools great. Therefore, I plan to change the display and/or the board but I am not sure which one is the problem. Perhaps you can give me some suggestions based on my descriptions.
