SteveG, You would also want to check the wiring connections or replace the defrost heater assembly DA47-00322J The wiring connections could be retaining moisture or ice, causing the contacts to separate and no power is applied to the heater element. The heater assembly has the hi limit thermostat molded into the assembly, if the thermostat is defective, the same issue will occur.

Gary, With the evaporator still icing up then the issue will most likely be caused by a failed main control board which is part number DA41-00396G.

Miguel, It would be recommended to test the sensor for resistance and it should have a 5k ohms reading at room temp of 77 degrees. If the sensor test ok then the issue would most likely be with the control board.

Hello Jason. You will need to check for a defrost issue in the fresh food evaporator. It sounds like you may have a defrost problem with the unit. Check and see if there is any frost build up on the evaporator coils in the freezer. If so, you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the main board. Ketan, You will want to check to make sure that the icemaker is not overflowing when it fills with water. If it is overflowing then the issue will most likely be a water valve that is sticking open and would need to be replaced.

Nick, There is no reset on the control board. If there were lights and fan previously but not now would most likely be a control board issue. This would also be the cause for the compressor to no run.

Hello Raechelle. The issue in the freezer is what is affecting the fresh food. You need to look for a leaking door seal on the unit. It is getting hot air into the freezer and causing the frost build up. Also, check the dispenser for a broken door flap not closing. Melt all the frost away and the fresh food should start working on the unit.

Matt, You will want to pull the rear wall of the refrigerator compartment and check the frost pattern of the evaporator in the refrigerator. Check to see if the coils are impacted with ice. If they are then test the sensor which should have a resistance reading of 5K ohms at 77 degrees. If this sensor is outside this range then it is defective. If it checks ok then test the defrost heater for continuity, no continuity means it is faulty.
