John F. April 12, 2015 for Model Number Erd30 The butterfly baking element broke during a self cleaning cycle. I need to replace it. The data plate on the oven door only shows erd30 as the part nbr. What is the part number I need to order to replace the burnt out element? Btw...when the butterfly element burnt our it left a lot of crusty residue on the bottom of the oven. This residue seems to be pretty stuck on. Any suggestions on how to remove it? Lastly, what would cause the element to completely break in two? Regards, John
1 Answer John, the bake element is part number DE81-09769A. The only way to get burnt element off the liner is to try to chisel it off, be careful not to damage the oven liner any further. Thanks. Read More...

Rob November 26, 2014 for Model Number Dacor ERDE48 Help, I cleaned oven two days ago because of a burning smell, now big oven won't heat. Bake element in 48" compartment reads 15 ohms. Small 30" oven works fine, but my mother-in-law has to cook the turkey tomorrow for Thanksgiving. What should I do?
1 Answer Hello Rob. You need to check the high limit switch DE81-03938A for the large oven and see if it is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Beto October 29, 2014 for Model Number Dacor ERD 48 What is the correct part number for the bake heating element for the 30" cell. It is my understanding that I can check the element for resistance. If at 1x I get a reading of between 20 to 40 ohms the element is good. If I get an infinity reading its bad. Is this correct? Thank you.
1 Answer Beto, The correct bake element for your unit is part number DE81-09769A. You are also correct that if the unit has a infinity resistance reading then the element is faulty. The resistance should be around 25 ohms. Read More...
Jerry May 27, 2014 for Model Number see question I have a 30 in electric oven with a lower element out. I think I can remove a sheet metal baffel to get at the screws holding the element and once removed do a continuity check. I am unable to locate a model. The printed material I have suggests it may be ecs130 or pcs130 or mcs130. My element sort of looks like a butterfly. I would like to know if I'm headed the right direction and can you folks send me the right part?
1 Answer Jerry, Yes, you are on the right track for repairing the unit. The part number that you would need for your oven bake element is DE81-06277A. Read More...

Larry April 30, 2013 for Model Number ERD36SBR Had bake element checked out, it's ok. What else could be wrong with oven. Pure convection works but the bake modes do not.
1 Answer Hello Larry. If the element is good, then you will need to order and replace the relay board on the unit. Read More...
1 Answer Larry, First thing, remove power to the range. Visually inspect the element, check for any cracks, missing or melted carborundum coating on the element. Remove the screws from the stainless steel mounting plate, slide the element out enough to access the wire terminals of the harness, and disconnect the wires, you may want to use a clip of some type, to keep the wires from falling back into the oven rear panel. Using a multi meter, and with the meter probes across the two element terminals, you should expect to see 20 to 22 ohms resistance on the meter display. This element is rated at approx. 2800 watts and should require 11 to 13 amps draw if operating properly. Read More...
