Julie V April 30, 2020 for Model Number ERD36SCH The heating element caught fire, arced, etc. When I was removing the broken element one of the clips simply slipped off and it's fried and won't stay on the new element at all. Additionally, the wire attched to that clip appears to be damaged as well. Without pulling the oven out from the wall I don't know where that wire goes or attaches. Is it part of a wire harness? Can I replace the one wire and clip or do I have to buy the entire harness?
1 Answer Julie, You could cut the wire back a little where there is good wire and attach a new connector to plug into the element or you would need to replace the entire harness if this is not possible. Read More...
Gary February 17, 2020 for Model Number MCS130 Oven takes 33 minutes to preheat to350. Bake element never turns red. The broiler element does. I removed the bake element and tested for continuity and it had a reading of 29. The oven does seem to hold the temperature. Oven is 15 years old
1 Answer Hello Gary, the relays on the relay board are faulty, however, the relay board DE81-09179A is no longer available. Read More...
Bob February 08, 2019 for Model Number ECS136SCH The butterfly bake element doesn’t heat up. Testing resistance it shows 16.6 ohms. Is this fine?
1 Answer Bob, the resistance should be fine. What you will want to check for is ensuring that the element is receiving the proper voltage. The element will not heat up if it does not receive 240VAC. If the control does not send 240VAC to the element, then you have a bad control [92028] which is no longer manufactured. Read More...
Joe S December 27, 2017 for Model Number Erd48sch Both baking elements are not working oven works fine using convection mode tech said need to replace elements and both relays he did not test relays is this usually the case
1 Answer Joe, In most cases it would be either the elements that are faulty or the relays. You will want to test the elements if they are ok then the relays would be the issue. Read More...
Mark July 28, 2017 for Model Number Dacor ERSD48509 I have a 48" Dual fuel NG epicure series range PN 85136. Don't know age. I need a heating element for the larger side I cannot find a listing for this model. Is this the correct element?
Bob R December 14, 2015 for Model Number Dacor ECS130R On 'Bake', set to 425F, bottom element gets warm but not very hot, max pre-bake temp achieved is about 280F. I removed and checked the bake element: resistance is ok at 26 ohms and element has no evident scars. Should I suspect a relay or controls failure?
1 Answer Hello Bob. Yes, it sounds like the element is good and the relay board is bad in the unit. Read More...
Lindsay December 12, 2015 for Model Number ER036524CH I ordered a replacement bake element part #62601. The old element I removed has screw holes in the top of the bracket that attaches to the back of the oven. The new element has screw holes at the bottom of the bracket. Is there a different part with screw holes at the top? Or is this element defective (with the bracket on upside down)? Thank you.
1 Answer Lindsay, This bake element DE81-04482A is the correct element and you may have just gotten one with a bracket on incorrectly. Read More...
Chris November 27, 2015 for Model Number Dacor mcs 130 Looking for the correct bake element for this oven.
Chris Je September 20, 2015 for Model Number ECS230SCH Hello, The upper oven bake mode does not heat entirely. It will get to approximately 325 and stop; broil mode works. I'm assuming its an issue with the butterfly bake element. What's your thoughts? If it's the baking element, what is the part number? Do you carry this part? Thanks.
1 Answer Chris Je, The unit heating to 325 degrees would indicate that the element is good and the oven sensor is good since the broil works. This would most likely be a relay board issue. The part number needed would be DE81-08448A. Read More...
Joyce June 03, 2015 for Model Number Dacor - Epicure When I purchased this oven in 1999, the oven heating element was located below metal floor of oven. When it needed replacing installer put in unit that now sits above floor of oven. Is there any way to change this? Also, heating element touched wall of oven and tripped circuit. When I corrected placement now I notice coil stays hot and does not cycle down when correct oven temp is reached. Is there a reset? Could coil be damaged? HELP!
1 Answer Hello Joyce, I'm sorry but we cannot even look at the unit you have without the model number from your units' I.D. tag. If you could please verify and post this model number, we will be happy to assist in any way we possibly can. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
