Suze December 24, 2017 for Model Number Magic Chef Washing Machine I just replaced the water intake valve and now water hoses "pulsate" on both hot and cold settings. Water just drips (if that) any ideas? Thanks!
1 Answer Suze, You will want to make sure that the water pressure is not too high. If the water pressure is too high it can cause chattering. Try turning the supply down and see if this does not correct. Read More...
Joseph October 15, 2017 for Model Number Estate ETW4400XQ0 I turn the water temp selector to hot fill, but only warm comes out and sometimes only cold. Put it to warm fill, and most of the time, it's only cold coming out. I can flip the switch and sometimes it'll start up again normal, but only for a few seconds during fill, then goes to cold. Is it the thermister, or is it the ATC acting like it should (does this washer even have ATC), or is it a faulty water temp control. I don't want to throw parts at it only to find out its nothing or the other control. Any advice would be appreciated.
1 Answer Hello Joseph, the unit sounds like it's working like it was designed to. The hot cycle should be around 100% plus or minus 10% and will cycle more warmer water than cold. Hope this helps! Read More...
Mike June 05, 2017 for Model Number 110.29522801 Kenmore 110.29522801. When first started, warm water is provided, but after about 15 seconds, it turns off the hot and will not cycle it back on. If hot is selected, hot is provided; if cold is selected, cold is provided. Problem is with warm only. Fill valve was recently replaced due to "stuttering" - turning on and off rapidly. I see the fill valve includes a thermistor, so I suspect the new valve, but before I throw parts at is I would like to know if there is a way to test the thermistor. Thank you.
1 Answer Mike, Unfortunately the fill valve thermistor is not showing a resistance value that you can test it. This issue would most likely be caused by a water temperature switch that is faulty since the thermistor is new with the valve. Read More...

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Nancy August 25, 2015 for Model Number RTW4440VQ1 When I turn the water on it comes out full blast after awhile it starts coming in slow real slow. I did buy a timer thought it was it but no luck.
1 Answer Hello Nancy. It sounds like the water valve is either clogged or bad on the unit. Check the screens in the valve. If they are clear, replace the water valve WPW10144820 on the unit. Read More...
Nancy August 25, 2015 for Model Number RTW4440VQ1 When I turn on the water it comes in real fast then after a few second the water comes in real slow. I thought it was the timer, got a new one but it did not help. So what do you think it is, please help !
1 Answer Nancy, Think there's a couple of possibilities, first check and make sure there is plenty of water coming from both faucets. Remove the hoses and check the debris screens in the end of the hoses and in the water valve inlet where the hoses connect to the washer. Clean and remove any sediment that has accumulated in the screens. If all appears OK, and the problem persists, replace the water inlet valve WPW10144820. Read More...
Roger March 29, 2015 for Model Number 110.29422801 Kenmore washer does not fill with warm water. It will fill with hot, tap or cold when selected. On warm, it fills almost all the time with cold water. Occasionally, it will fill with hot mixing for a few seconds at a time. When the problem first appeared, the hot water valve was causing water hammer due to shutting on/off so rapidly. I have replaced the inlet water valve but it made no difference. Could it be the temperature switch part # w10184148?
1 Answer Roger, The most likely cause for the unit to put only cold water into the unit on warm would be a faulty thermistor which is part of the valve. The part number for the valve is WPW10144820. Read More...
Karlos March 18, 2015 for Model Number WTW5300VW2 Hi there I got a whirlpool top loader, only spins on the spins cycle, won't fill on hot or cold. Note: I got pressure at both hoses, already replace timer and water valve, please help, i ran out of ideas. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Karlos. If the unit spins, but does not fill, you may have a bad pressure switch W10337781 on the unit. You will need to replace the hose along with the switch in the kit. Read More...
Dennis January 31, 2015 for Model Number wtw5300vw2 When I turn the water temperature selector to hot, no water is dispensed. If I turn the selector to any other temperature, water is dispensed.

Jeff October 26, 2014 for Model Number ETW4400XQ0 4 position temp switch, set to warm will sometimes be cold, set to hot will sometimes be warm and if rotate back and forth it will go to hot.
