Beth, The WPW10292584 sensor switch is located in the control panel of the washer. It's the third switch from the left, labeled "Fabric Softener". You will need to remove power to the washer, use a putty knife or other flat blade tool to release the retainer springs under the end caps of the control panel, and flip the console up and over the top. You'll have access to all the switches, timer, etc.

Jateen P for Model Number LSQ9564JQ0

HI, Just recently at the start of the rinse cycle the agitator will stop and the timer shuts off before the water is able to drain, thereby leaving a drum full of water. If I tap or shake the control panel just after the timer shuts off, it will kick in and continue with the rest of the cycle (draining and spinning all of the water off). Sounds like a timer issue but do I also need to change the sensor? I don't think it is a lid switch issue but how can I test this? Thanks, -JP

1 Answer

Jateen, The lid switch can be tested for continuity. When the lid is closed there should be continuity to the terminals of the lid switch. If there is continuity then the switch is good. Most likely based on the description the issue would be caused by a faulty timer.

Hello Bob. These have very little resistance. There is no need to blow into these. If the unit is agitating, and not filling, then this part is bad in the unit.
