Robbie May 29, 2011 for Model Number LA5558XS My agitator wobbles and seems to not be engaged during wash cycle. How do I remove it to tighten it?
1 Answer Hello Robbie. To remove the agitator on this model, you remove the cap on top of the agitator by pulling up on it. Once this is removed you will have access to the innards of the agitator. Once the parts inside the agitator have all been removed you will see a bolt. Remove the bolt and the agitator will lift out. I hope this info helps. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Rose! You will need to check your lid switch WP8054980. You should hear a clicking noise when the lid is being shut, this indicate the lid switch activates. You can also test the lid switch using a multimeter MA-DM1. Here is a link from our free repair forum you can refer to for help with using a multi meter. Hope this helps, thaks! http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Richard May 19, 2011 for Model Number LSQ9549PW2 Washer filled but won't start, kicked circuit breaker out, reset did it again.
1 Answer Hello Richard. It sounds like you could have a bad motor, timer or a wire is causing a short. You will want to look at the wires going from the motor to the timer and verify it's not a wire causing the short. You can test the motor using a multi meter MA-DM1, you will want to touch each pin on the motor with one probe and the other to the casing of the motor. They should all read close to pass the test. The timer will be tested the same.
