Micheal April 11, 2015 for Model Number MVWC400VW1 When the washer is in the spin part of a wash it just make a whining sound.
1 Answer Michael, You will want to check the drain pump to ensure that there is nothing caught in it. Pull the inner tub and make sure that there is nothing caught between the inner and outer tub. If these check ok then you will want to check the clutch and brake for a broken clutch lining. Read More...
Denman March 21, 2015 for Model Number WTW5200VQ2 How can I tell if the Balance Ring has lost its fluid. I've taken the washer apart but I can't see through the ring. It's not made of clear plastic. Also, slightly pulling up on it, I heard a soft noise like it was glued to the tub. I stopped pulling up on it for fear of causing the glue to separate and not being able to re-glue it. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Denman, You can remove the cabinet and pull the tub cover to expose the clips that lock the balance ring to the spin basket. You can now tell if the balance rings saline solution is still intact. Read More...

Gary September 15, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore 500 washer Machine has some age on it. Put in a rug, began spinning, created an out-of-balance clanging. Just looking for a heads-up.

Ken A May 19, 2014 for Model Number Sears 26652500 In the spin cycle it seems like the washer is out of balance. It sounds like the tub is hitting something . I have taken the washer apart and found that all the suspension springs and the counter balance spring are still attached. The washer is about 9 years old and wanted to know if it would be possible that the springs are weak? Thanks Ken
1 Answer Hello Ken. Check the drive block WP389140 and see if it is stripped out. The springs should be good if still attached. Read More...
Glenn August 28, 2013 for Model Number LA56668XTWO Where can I get the spanner wrench used in your videos to disassemble the tub. I have a serious vibration problem while spinning. Springs are in place. I put rubber blocks under the legs which stopped the "walking", but vibration now seems even worse. I'm contemplating replacing the suspension pads and wear pads. Suggestions?
1 Answer Glenn, Most likely the suspension pads have worn down unevenly and need to be replaced. The part number for the spanner wrench is TB123B. Read More...
