Joe July 23, 2015 for Model Number GHW9300PW2 I replaced both front and back hub assembly parts and one shock. I still have major vibration and the hub. I didn't notice the shaft being bent. What else could it be? The inner tub is tearing up the front plastic hub.
1 Answer Hello Joe, If you have checked the suspension springs and the shocks, the bearing and/or spinner support assembly, (spider), will have to be the issue. Read More...
Gerardo Gonzalez April 10, 2015 for Model Number wfw9500tc01 how many clamps does the outer tub have ?
1 Answer Gerardo, If we're discussing the bellows/boot, there are two spring clamps involved. The WP8182210 retains the bellows to the tub cover, and the W10902779 holds the bellows to the front panel. If you're discussing the slit tub assembly there are approximately 12 clamps and bolts, and a seal, that attach the two halves of the outer tub together. Read More...
Tammy November 20, 2014 for Model Number 11045966401 I am purchasing a replacement basket for our washer and noticed other websites mentioned that I would also need to replace the nut W10283361. Do you find this to be true?
1 Answer Hello Tammy, The nut doesn't need to be replaced if you purchase some blue locktite. The new nut comes with the locktite preinstalled on the threads. Most will purchase the nut because the necessary locktite 59133109 costs three times the cost of the nut. Read More...
Kelly November 04, 2014 for Model Number GHW9150PW1 My washing machine is making a loud noise when spinning. I know this means the bearings need replaced. Can I just replace the rear outer tub? The inner basket looks fine and the front outer tub has some wear but nothing to be alarmed about. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Kelly, If there is no abnormal wear on the spinner support there is no problem with replacing the complete outer tub assembly W10772617 with the new spin bearings pre-installed by the manufacturer. Read More...
Mary September 25, 2014 for Model Number GHW9100LQ1 I have to replace the shock absorbers on my Whirlpool Duet GHW9100LQ1, since it has been shaking for so long now I am getting white broken pieces in the tub itself, this looks to be some sort of ring that is falling to pieces Dry and brittle around the front of the tub. I can not find this on any of the part diagrams and was wondering if I do in fact need to replace this?
1 Answer Hello Mary. That is a sign of bad bearings. You will need to order W10772617, WPW10250573, and W10772612 to repair the unit. Read More...
1 Answer Adrian, If the bearings are available as a separate part then you would need to tap the bearings out with a punch and hammer. You will need to work around the bearing and knock the inner bearing toward the inside of the tub and the outer bearing to the outside of the tub. Read More...
Davep May 04, 2014 for Model Number GE WSXH208F1WW Is the basket for the Whirlpool identical to the GE for the front loader GE WSXH208F1WW? The arms are broken - seems to be some inferior metal ("pot metal"?) - is this all made in China stuff? I miss made in the USA. My circa 1938 GE electric oven/stove, which BTW is made in USA, is still working great! Can anyone say "planned obsolescence china junk"? Hoping for an inexpensive repair, can't afford a new washer - recession still going on for lots of us. Thanks.
1 Answer DaveP, we do not have the specs available to verify if the parts are compatible. We can only recommend the basket called for your model, part number WH45X10006. Unfortunately, we do not know where the parts are manufactured. Sorry about that! Read More...
