Jessa March 23, 2014 Does anyone sell the shaft that is in the basin separately on the ghw9100lw1 whirlpool duet?
Steve I March 18, 2014 for Model Number GHW9150PW0 Is this a common problem for the spider arm to fall to pieces? I couldn't believe how corroded it was.
1 Answer Hello Steve. Yes, it is a common issue and mainly due to the use of certain types of detergent. Any kind with the oxygen cleaning power will eat away at the spider in the units. Make sure you use the HE detergent and it does not contain any oxygen cleaning solution. Read More...
Jerry March 16, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool GHW9100 LW2 My washer is making a loud banging noise during spin cycle. I noticed the front outer basket is worn and the plastic rim is falling apart. What is causing this problem?
1 Answer Jerry, In most cases when the inner tub is rubbing the front of the outer drum then the issue is a broken spinner support for the inner tub. This would require the front outer tub W10772612 and the inner basket WPW10250573. Read More...

Tammy December 28, 2013 for Model Number 11047799701 Can you tell me what size the tub or basket is in this washer? I had this washer rebuilt by sears 1 year ago as the tub bearing goes bad. Now I had them here again today and it is bad again. I am torn because if I get it fixed again will it happen again? Have you ever heard of this, I was offered a new washer a Kenmore made by LG instead of the one I have that is a Kenmore made by whirlpool. Please help me choose what to do. Which one is better.
1 Answer Hello Tammy, We cannot make the decision for you but maybe I can give you some information that will aid in the understanding of the issue. The unit you now has was manufactured by Whirlpool. This is a very good design and the repeated failure points toward a quick fix instead of a correct fix. When the spin bearing fails more than once, it is obvious that the spinner support, (spider), WPW10269756, has an issue that is contributing to the units' failure. I have done many of these and once repaired, the unit is no longer an issue. I would request when the repair is done that the inner tub be replaced also. This will complete the repair by replacing the other part that rides against the bearing so the failure will not occur again. You could also opt to have them replace the unit but I have my reservations about the LG built unit since they do seem to have more issues than the other manufacturers' units. Read More...
Dale December 03, 2013 Is the basket of a Whirlpool Duet washer (ghw9100lw2) interchangeable with the Duet Sport?
Karen October 21, 2013 for Model Number ghw9150pw2 Does the drum come with the replacement bearings too? I replaced my bearings, but I think the shaft on the drum was wore out too, so it is back to making noise. Need the drum and the bearings. Thanks!
1 Answer Karen, The basket WPW10250573 does not come with the bearings. You would need to replace the rear outer tub to replace the bearings. Read More...
