Robyn March 26, 2017 for Model Number WFW9150WWOO I purchased the bellow to replace the old one. The one I received has a hole for the white plastic part, but my old one doesn't have a hole for that. My washer has a black rubber drain off to the side of the bellow. Can I still use the new bellow on my machine? Many thanks
1 Answer Robyn, It appears that you may have received the incorrect part. You would need to have part number WPW10381562. Read More...
Brother Paul March 03, 2017 for Model Number WED8300SW2 I recently acquired a Whirlpool Duet Dryer and immediately had to replace the unattached (and non-functioning) heating element. Since the prior element was not attached, I don't have any idea which wires connect to which leads. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Brother Paul, The heating element WP3387747 should read 7.8 to 11.8 ohms of resistance with no continuity to ground. The connections to the element do not matter since this is a non-polorized part, (the wires can be swapped and operation will not be affected). Read More...
Angie December 06, 2016 for Model Number Whirlpool WFW9400SW01 Hi-I have had my front loading Whirlpool Duet washer for a number of years and for a very long time (I believe since I purchased the unit) water collects in the dependent part of the door gasket after use. Is this normal? I am trying to decide whether or not to replace the gasket or just purchase a whole new washer.
1 Answer Angie, This is a normal issue with water collecting in the door boot and should be wiped out after use if the unit is not going to be used right away. Read More...
Mom September 09, 2016 for Model Number WFW96HEAWO How do you clean the drainage holes located in the bellow tub seal?
1 Answer Hello Mom, If stopped up you can use a wet vacuum to clear the hose amd chase it with weed eater line. If it is not stopped up you can simply pour a bit of white vinegar in the boot to flush the drain. Read More...
John G June 07, 2016 for Model Number 11042932200 The front section of the tub has been beaten by the basket (I think by many heavy uneven loads) to the point that the close edge is disintegrating. Washer is not leaking but the shreded grey plastic material is getting into the clothes - especially sticking to microfiber material. I've removed the door bellow and am wondering if you have available parts and instructions for replacing at least the front half of the tub.
1 Answer Hello John. The bearings are bad. You will need to replace the front tub W10772607, and rear tub W10772618, and the inner basket WPW10269756 to repair the unit. Read More...
Thomas January 26, 2016 for Model Number WFW70HEBW1 The bellow seems to be holding a lot of water and there is mold/mildew build up on the rubber. Is there something that is keeping the water from draining out of the bellow/seal? Thanks,
1 Answer Hello Thomas. There is drain holes at the bottom of the seal that lets the water drain back into the tub. Also, try to keep the door open so it can air dry. Read More...
Steven June 27, 2015 for Model Number 42924200 Replacing front bellow tub seal and small black tube is attached to the seal. Can you tell me how to remove this tube from the seal? I should be able to reverse this process for the new one.
1 Answer Steven, To remove the black tube you would just grab ahold of it and kinda twist and pull it out. You would just push it back into place on the new one. Read More...
Ron June 01, 2015 The bellow I received has no small hole in it. My model is GHW9100LW and I believe the part is for GHW9100LW2. Can this boot be used for my machine or do I need to return? The boot does have a spot outlined of where it would go.
1 Answer Hello Ron. If there is a mark there, then you will cut it out if needed. They make these for different models and do not cut them so they will work for the different models. Read More...
Tw May 03, 2015 for Model Number GHW9150PW3 I have the whirlpool duet front loader, and I am getting a water leak which is apparently from the bellow, not from the hoses or water intake valve, but it also, the water level seems to be much higher in the drum recently. Is there a water level switch that could be causing this problem? I did replace the water inlet valve within the last year. Thank you
1 Answer TW, There is a pressure switch that could be faulty or the hose and air dome are clogging causing higher than normal fill level. This would not cause the unit to leak water from the bellow. You will want to check the bellow for holes that are leaking. Read More...
Manju March 19, 2015 for Model Number GHW9100LW1 I have a washer model GHW9100LW1. One of Whirlpool reseller says the front door boot seal or bellow is 8181850 and local Whirlpool reseller says 8182119. Which is the correct? Also on my existing bellow there is a hole and this connects from soap dispenser. I want to get the right part and also has a hole to attach from soap dispenser. Can you please help? Last but not least can I use the existing clamps front and rear which holds the bellow? Thank you very much.
