Nathan January 25, 2015 for Model Number MSD2454GR When the button for "cube ice" is pushed the door light comes on as though the light switch was depressed. The green indicator light above the "cube" button does not illuminate and remains where it last was, on either water or crushed ice. Cube ice cannot be dispensed. Is this a control board issue?

1 Answer Hello Mark, You will need to open the dispense area to determine the cause of the issue. There are several things to check such as the micro-switch and the mount for it since the mount can melt from a stuck switch. The assembly will most likely need to be removed and washed since sticky from drinks will get into the switch area when ice is dispensed into the drinks which will splash when the ice drops into the drink. Jim P November 20, 2013 for Model Number MZD2766GES Our problem started when the water would not shut off. I ordered a replacement switch and replaced it per the on line procedure. After putting the unit back together the the light came on and the crush light was on, when I tried to trun the light off the lock key came on and will not go off. I removed the control board to inspect it and put back together the lock key was still on, then it went off and the crush light came on, I pushed the water button and it worked, then the lock key came back on and I was right back where I started....:>( I can not get the lock key to go off. What do you think I need to replace?

Jtb June 13, 2013 for Model Number mzd2768gew One morning I woke up to a wet floor and water pouring through the freezer side from the icemaker. For some reason the solenoid wouldn't shutoff to stop the water flow until I unplugged it. then the flapper from the ice dispenser mysteriously began opening and closing on its own until I unplugged the control board. I assume the control board is the culprit, but wanted to ask if anyone knows for sure. Thank you!
