For Whirlpool Capacitor (Part Number: OEM18040311)

Robin for Model Number 11029422800

My Kenmore Washer is 18 Months Old, it fills with water but won't Agitate, Drain or Spin. The drive motor doesn't run and the washer makes a brief buzzing noise then shuts off. Nothing is stuck between the inner & outer tub and the pump, drive motor (shaft turns freely in both directions) motor coupler & drive block are fine. Therefore, I need instruction's on how to check the Capacitor and Motor Switch (P/N 3952056) for Continuity/Ohm's & AC/DC Voltage?

Hi Ryan. Is The water valve humming while trying to bring in water? The water valve is part # 285805. If It does not hum then replace the timer with part # WP3953935. Thank you.

Elvin, On a front load washing machine, and with the issue you're describing, You want to check the door latch switch assembly and wiring first, WPW10253483 . What lights are on, and what appears in the display when you start the washer ? Your Tech Data Sheet should be located inside the washer cabinet, behind the lower access panel, and you should be able to program test modes and component tests, and repair the washer in little to no time. Good Luck.

Hi Elvin. First turn off all power. Then inspect the motor, motor control board, main machine control board and user4 interface panel for any wires / connections that might be loose. You have lost communication between motor and main control board. Look under your top and follow the technician sheet to put the machine into the field service test to tell you what specific area of failure you need to check. You might have something clogging the pump as well..Let us know if we can assist further. Thank you.
