This is an oven control board and clock manufactured by Whirlpool. It allows the user to adjust temperature, change oven function, set timers, and more. While the control board is designed to be durable, it can fail over time through exposure to moisture or high temperatures. When the oven control board begins to fail, it will not respond to user input, or may respond incorrectly. Replacing the control board is the only option to restore functionality. To replace it, turn off the power or unplug the oven. Remove the four screws holding the control board in place and disconnect the wires. Install the new board by following these steps in reverse. This is a genuine OEM part. It is sold individually, and fits Whirlpool, Roper, and Amana branded ovens.

Dale for Model Number sve47500b jenn-air range

Hello. My problem is my membrane switch (key board panel) started acting up with a mind of its own. Sometimes it would work and sometimes it didn't. Often with a beeping sound. This went on for months, called some service stores they said I should replace the membrane switch. So I replaced the switch. My problem is at one time my oven control timer was bright green when lit up. But with the trouble I had with the membrane switch, it started to get dimmer and dimmer over time till you just about could not see it at all. But now when I put on the new membrane switch, the oven control timer does not light up or come on at all. The only button that will work on the membrane switch when I press it is the oven light. Do you think I need a new oven control timer, or do you think I have other problems?? I thank you for your help!!

Johnyy, this should be an electric wall oven, Are you sure you have 220 to 240 VAC. to the oven ? And you should be getting all kinds of "F" codes. Your oven temperature sensor is the two(2) Purple wires that plug into the "green" connector on the relay board. Across the two wires, you should read less than 1100 ohms resistance at room temperature. The oven temperature sensor is located on the back wall of the oven cavity, usually in the upper right hand corner.Without a complete model number it's a bit difficult, and I have a feeling you've got a bad relay board, 74006613 Good Luck and Thanks.

Hello Keith! We were not able to locate an S7 anywhere in the systems, manuals, or service manuals. However, we have located an F7 failure code. The F7 indicates a function key has shorted out or is stuck. Replace the touch pad or the electronic board if the touch pad is inlcuded with the board. For your model W30400B you will need to order part number WP71002300. Thanks!

Hello Darren. If you have not anything on the display, chances are that you will only have to replace the board WP71001799. The membrane might be fine, just nothing to command once the board shorted. Hope this helps!

Hello Al. If the display is getting dimmer it does sound like the electronic control is going bad. The electronic control is the brains of the oven and could be causing the other problems you experiencing. If you replaced the probe and are still having issues then the next step would be replacing the electronic control. Part number WP71001799 is the correct erc for your model. Hope this helps.
