Stan December 07, 2011 for Model Number Jenn-Air SVD48600B I have a Jenn-Air SVD48600B, the stove top works fine. The oven works when the buttons are pressed, it beeps and gets/stays at the input temperature. However none of the LEDs light up on the display (they did about a year ago). Is the only part that would need to be replaced the Oven Control Assembly - AP4088560? Assuming that is the only part is there assembly instructions for the removal/install? Thanks
1 Answer Hi Stan. The electronic control is part # WP71001799. Remove the power. Remove the door. Remove the trim screws surrounding the top. This will give access to the front panel upper and lower screws. Then lift up and off the front panel. The clock/control is screwed to the back of the front panel. Take a picture of the original wire lead connections and mark them down so you can reconnect them correctly. Reassemble in reverse steps. Thank You. Read More...
Countryboyinthecity December 03, 2011 for Model Number SVE47600W Jenn-Air Burners work and buttons beep when pushed but the display has no lights. Also the oven will not heat up so will replacing the control board fix the issue or both Control Board and relay board be needed?
1 Answer Hello. Test for power to the control assembly WP71001799. If there is power there, and it does not send power to the relay board, you will need to replace the control. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Gill December 02, 2011 for Model Number w30400wc I just replaced the control assembly #AP 4088560 and the key board membrane #AP4088889. My oven is DEAD, the clock is black, oven does not heat, fan wont work. even the oven light does not come on...I's like no power at all??? Braker is on..I have power at L1 and L2 on the relay board, but oven does not work at all..Is it possible that the new parts, as stated above, that I have purchased dont fit my oven??? my oven is not series 11 ,does that matter??? But according the information you have provided the parts in question should fit. Could the relay board be the problem??? THank you Gill
1 Answer Hello Gill. If there is power to the relay board, but no power to the control board or panel, you will need to replace the relay board 74006614. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Trent November 16, 2011 for Model Number sve47600w while baking after about 2 hours the oven display and the oven started cutting on & off rapidly. the convection fan also cut off and cooling fan also cut off. after a few minutes of this the oven cut off and display was blank. about 10 minutes later it cut back on, kept the same temperature and time left on timer. after we cut oven off, the lock light would come on & off. we replaced the display about 2 years ago. any thoughts?
1 Answer Trent, My thoughts would be, a defective relay board on the back of the range W10757086 or a voltage fluctuation in the power supply. Both issues would explain the various and multiple symptoms. It's most likely the relay board, but check your power supply first. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Fred October 27, 2011 for Model Number Jenn-Air SVE-47600B Several times a year, and usually on Thanksgiving, our Jenn-Air will throw an F1 error and stop working. I can usually turn the breaker off/on and the stove will work fine for several months and then the problem will repeat. I have removed the front panel and cleaned the contacts and connectors to the oven control, but 3 months later I had the F1 error again. Everything I read suggests either the membrane or the oven control is defective, but it seems strange that the problems only happens a few times a year. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Fred. The F1 code is for the power to the element relay is energized during the time of day display. You will need to check and see if the J2 harness is shorted or not connected good.. If not, replace the power relay board W10757086. Hope this helps. Read More...
Steveb October 17, 2011 for Model Number svd48600b Hi. I've noticed that the screen on the control panel of my oven/range has become dimmer and dimmer over the past few weeks, until a week+ ago when it just went dark. I can still turn the oven on-- it works, all the controls appear to work-- timer, dinger, temps, etc.... I just can no longer see the numbers, or readouts. If I go to do the timer, and it runs its course, and then set an extension time, I can in fact read that. As well as the temps at that point, once that timer exhausts. But once all is turned off from there-- no visible readouts, time, etc.... I talked with one of the customer service techs, and he said that sometimes it helps to "clean" the contacts on the wires. So, I pulled the front panel, and removed the connectors, and then reset them. The buzzer went off, but no lighting. Then, I removed the control panel from the face, and noticed that in the upper left corner of the panel off to the far left, there is what appears to be a scorch mark, like you'd see on an old fuse that had blown. It's about 1/4inch round, and shows silver-ish in color. I posted on the forum back on the 8th-- 9 days ago-- and no one ever responded. Please help me figure out what's wrong here. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Steve. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the oven control WP71001799 is bad and will need to be replaced. Check and make sure there is power coming to the display. If so, and the unit does not light up, you will need to replace the board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Chris September 13, 2011 for Model Number rf262lxst0 2 year old Whirlpool oven/stove. The cooktop works fine, but from the first day the oven never turned on. Broil or bake. You can see the timer counting down for the preheat but never comes on. I tried to self clean too, it doesnt heat and the door doesnt lock. Is this a control panel problem?

Mitzi September 04, 2011 for Model Number SVD48600B My Jenn-Air oven will not heat up, so we replaced the Electronic oven control assembly. The new one gives a error code F5 and it never did help the oven to heat up but the timer and clock display works fine now. Will having a new control assembly put in, fix the error code F5 and possible help our oven to start heating up? I've put the order in for a new assembly to be shipped but I'm courious if it will fix our problem this time? Thank you, Mitzi
1 Answer Mitzi, The F5 code indicates or or two issues, a) an oven temperature sensor problem 12001656, or a power relay board problem W10757086. Both components are located on the back of the range in the lower right hand corner after you remove the rear cover panel. If you haven't yet, check for 240 VAC to the range from the outlet or power box at the wall, and at the terminal block of the range. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
