Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Electronic Control Board (Part Number: OEM18035478)

1 Answer

Robert, The F11 code is a communication error between the central control unit and the motor control unit. You will want to check the wiring between the 2 boards to make sure that there are good connections with no corrosion on the connectors. If this checks ok then the central control unit would be the most likely cause for the issue. The central control part number would be WP8182695.

Hello Carlos. Sorry, The model number will have to be verified on the units I.D. tag since the one listed came up invalid. This will be necessary to look up and specific parts such as the one you requested. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx

Georgio, With the unit getting the F11 error code and only getting seconds of water fill or the drain pump, this issue would most likely be caused by the main control board WP8182687.

C.C.A. for Model Number 110.45862400

Whenever I press and hold the "start" button on the laundry washing machine, I hear five or six clicks and then a display code called "FdL" pops up. In the past, I was able to fix this problem by unplugging the washer, shutting off the water, and spraying the door lock slot with WD-40. Then I would wait for fifteen or twenty minutes, and once that time had elapsed, I would plug the washer back into its power outlet, open the water valves, and begin washing my laundry. However, the abovementioned technique has not worked lately, and the same "FdL" code keeps popping up. How do I fix this? Oh, I almost forgot, the washer is a Kenmore Elite, QuietPak 2, model number 110.45862400 And, if you don't mind me asking, just how old is this particular laundry washer?

Hello C.C.A., This is the fault code for a door lock error. A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be locked. It will try to lock it six times before displaying the error code.As per the tech sheet you will need to unplug the washer or disconnect power and check the door switch/lock unit. Check the wire harness connections to the door switch/lock unit and Central Control Unit (CCU).
