C.C.A. for Model Number 110.45862400 Whenever I press and hold the "start" button on the laundry washing machine, I hear five or six clicks and then a display code called "FdL" pops up. In the past, I was able to fix this problem by unplugging the washer, shutting off the water, and spraying the door lock slot with WD-40. Then I would wait for fifteen or twenty minutes, and once that time had elapsed, I would plug the washer back into its power outlet, open the water valves, and begin washing my laundry. However, the abovementioned technique has not worked lately, and the same "FdL" code keeps popping up. How do I fix this? Oh, I almost forgot, the washer is a Kenmore Elite, QuietPak 2, model number 110.45862400 And, if you don't mind me asking, just how old is this particular laundry washer?
Answer Hello C.C.A., This is the fault code for a door lock error. A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be locked. It will try to lock it six times before displaying the error code.As per the tech sheet you will need to unplug the washer or disconnect power and check the door switch/lock unit. Check the wire harness connections to the door switch/lock unit and Central Control Unit (CCU). Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, August 3, 2015
