Keith M. October 07, 2011 for Model Number LSN1000LWO I replaced the agitator. Put the bolt in and tightened it down but the top still freely spins. Is there somthing im missing? Does the top part snap onto the bottom? Or is it suppose to spin?
1 Answer Hi Keith. The agitator dogs will catch the inner sides as you turn it clockwise but releases as you turn it counterclockwise. The agiator has a top and bottom that snap together to form 1 piece. Then slides on and bolts to the top of the transmission shaft. Then the fabric cup snaps into the top. The unit can be lifted up and leaned carefully back. If you see any black rubber dust under the transmission, replace the motor coupler part # is 285753A. Thank you. Read More...
Jcolby5801 April 21, 2011 for Model Number CM4817620 Unit is making a metal on plastic sound in the wash agitation cycle. The agitator does not seem to rotate. It sounds like the teeth of the plastic are worn out. Does this need an agitator full kit replacement?
1 Answer Hello Jcolby5801. Check and see if the agitator will turn by hand in both directions. If so, you will need to replace the cam kit 285809. Hope this helps. Read More...

Dale March 10, 2011 for Model Number WTW5521SQ0 The agitator does lift off but the problem is removing the upper section to remove the agitator parts to put the replacements (ap3094543) in should they just come out when you tip it over or do you need a special tool to remove the old assembly for they will not budge?
1 Answer Dale, the old assembly should just come out when the top portion is tipped over. I have located a link on our repair forum that may help you get the old assembly out and the new in, hope it helps! http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/washer-repair/63728-once-bolt-removed-how-separate-mover-agitator.html Read More...
