Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Washer Agitator Assembly (Part Number: OEM9283386)

1 Answer

Hi Keith. The agitator dogs will catch the inner sides as you turn it clockwise but releases as you turn it counterclockwise. The agiator has a top and bottom that snap together to form 1 piece. Then slides on and bolts to the top of the transmission shaft. Then the fabric cup snaps into the top. The unit can be lifted up and leaned carefully back. If you see any black rubber dust under the transmission, replace the motor coupler part # is 285753A. Thank you.
