Rich March 26, 2016 for Model Number KSRJ251MTI00 Ice maker stopped making ice. Lights work properly-2 sec, pause, 2 sec, solid when flap closed. Changed filter. No water entering ice maker. 1 Answer Hello Rich, All parts we sell are authorized manufacturers' replacement parts. If your model number is actually KSRJ25IMST00 you will need to pull the icemaker and pull the motor module cover off. If one of the tabs in the center of the gear is gone or broken so there is no space between the tabs, the motor module has failed and will need to be replaced. Pat December 20, 2015 for Model Number 2198597 Ice maker just stopped making ice. Don't hear water filling the machine. Checked the light on the side two flashes then pause and repeats. Once flap is pushed we get solid light. Replaced the filters, thought that might be the problem. Still nothing. Switch is on. Any suggestions
1 Answer Pat, You will want to check to see if there is water in the icemaker. If there is no ice in the icemaker then you will want to pull the icemaker and check the fill tube to see if it is frozen. This will be the most likely cause for the issue. Wayne November 08, 2015 I just received a complete Kitchen Aid complete ice maker (Part # 2198597). Easy installation, but how long do you wait for ice to begin being made? It's been 12 hours and nothing...yet. One instruction I saw suggested it may take 24 hours for the temp of the new maker to reach the level to begin... What do you say?

Britta W October 05, 2015 for Model Number 106.54616300 Our ice maker is not functioning properly. It hasn't stopped altogether, but is definitely cycling much more slowly. The IR beam seems to work (blinks 2X, pauses, when beam is clear and bucket sensor is open, and also when bucket sensor is pushed in but beam is interrupted; solid light when bucket sensor is pushed in, beam clear). The accelerice feature is not helping. It makes maybe 2 or 3 trays of ice in a 24 hour period. I was going to order a new ice maker assembly, but worry that it may be another problem. Temperature seems fine (registers as 0 on the unit, ice is freezing, nothing else is thawing.) The water inlet seems clear and functioning. But I don't know about the icemaker module - is this more likely, as the machine is making ice, just very slowly?
