T Fowler April 08, 2018 for Model Number ET8MTMXKQ02 For Whirlpool refrigerator ET8MTMXKQ)2, I ordered part 8201769 or AP3961332 compressor start device (relay and overload) kit. Directions were not included. I cannot determine which overload part to use for 18.5 cu ft refrigerator, either 282402 or 282403. I cannot determine how to connect the capacitor. Videos show relay with 2 spade connectors, the relay sent has three. The compressor is an EMY 60HSC.

Sophia February 12, 2018 for Model Number ET8WTKXKB00 Hello I am trying to install a compressor start relay device the replacement part # 8201769 looks nothing like the original black part # 2212964 which uses a pin style connector with twin red and white wires in white plug. Is this the correct kit to use and is part # 2212964 no longer available ? If 2212964 is no longer available is it necessary to cut the white plug off and install new terminal connectors ?
1 Answer Sophia, Yes this would be the correct start device for your unit and the red wires will go to the overload and the white wires will go to the number 2 terminal on the relay. Read More...
Sophia February 07, 2018 for Model Number ET8WTKXKB00 Hello I am trying to install a compressor start relay device and the replacement part # 8201769 looks nothing like the original part. the instructions say to use the kit with EGY60, EGY70 or EMU60 type compressors and I have a EMY 60 HSC. Its this the right replacement part and if so any advice on how to install it would be much appreciated.
1 Answer Sophia, You will want to use the overload for the EGY60 compressor and the red wire will go to the overload and the white will go to the number 2 on the relay. You will then plug the overload on the compressor and then the relay on and put the cover on. If you have a blue wire it will go to terminal number 3 on the relay. Read More...

Robert August 12, 2017 for Model Number RT18DKXKQ00 Have the AP 3961332. My question is my compressor terminals (3 of them) are configured 1 over 2 but all of the videos show 2 over 1 so that effectively makes them upside down compared to videos. It seems that I need to reverse the blue and the white terminals to be correct. I hope this makes sense.
1 Answer Robert, The wires will be configured the same as what the video will be it is just the parts will go on in reverse of the one on the video where the overload is at the top and the relay is on the 2 on the bottom. Read More...

Joanne August 15, 2016 for Model Number KSRS22QGBLOO I HAVE A KITCHEN AID REFRIGERATOR SIDE BY SIDE. I OPENED THE REFRIGERTOR DOOR AND NOTICED NO LIGHT. OPENED THE FREEZER DOOR AND NO LIGHT THERE EITHER. TRIED NEW BULBS AND STILL NO LUCK. I TESTED MY CIRCUIT BREAKER AND TESTED GOOD. I DO HAVE POWER FROM THE OUTLET THROUGH OUT THE CORD INTO THE REFRIGERATOR. WHAT COULD IT BE?
1 Answer Hello Joanne. You will need to remove the back access cover and check the wiring on the unit. It sounds like the wiring is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
