Evan G. January 07, 2012 for Model Number du1055xtss1 What is the level of difficulty in replacing the control panel, the entire across the front assembly on this model? I don't to get halfway through and end having to make a service call anyway. I'd rate my level of competence with this stuff about avg for a homeowner.
1 Answer Hello Evan. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the screws securing the inner door panel. Remove the inner door panel and remove the cover off the control board. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board and remove the screws holding the control board housing in place. Next remove the screws holding the control panel in place.
